JJ Watt retiring

#1

JJ Watt announced he's retiring after the season. His career was so good that even this year when you think he hasn't done much he has 9.5 sacks so far.

Seems like an all around good dude.
Sucks he was a pain in our rear for so long divisionally.
Glad he's able to move to the next chapter gracefully.

Seems like a blur. Great player. Shame his body couldn't keep up with the demand. Seems like an all around good dude in and out of the locker room. Wonder what he'll do next.

That guy played with great effort.
Respect the game.  Play with a sense of urgency.

1.)  Take care of the ball.  Win the turnover battle.

2.)  It's all about 3rd down.  Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays.  The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.

Could it be argued that the Texans squandered his best years?

Not really an argument so much as a fact.

Only asking because they did win the AFC South 6 times in the 2010's, but could never get past the Divisional round. So they had some success.

Still amazes me we passed on this guy for Blaine Gabbert. Wanted Ryan Kerrigan that year as well. LOL.

Funny, I was calling for Kerrigan and Dalton.  Dalton is no stud, but he sure been a hell of a lot more fun than Gabbert.

It was so difficult to hate this guy.. He did everything right, on and off the field.

He was a stupid tinhorn, but a wonderful human being..
