Most interesting thing was at the end... They asked him if Tyson Alualu was ever in danger of not making the team and Dave basically said nope, he was never in doubt

Thats not too surprising. Its hard to cut your only back up big end.

That, but that's not even the whole story.

 

Most casual fans around here just love to hate on Alualu because he doesn't rack up the sexy sacks and tackle numbers. They don't have any clue about the role he plays on this team.

 

Every season it's the same people bad mouthing Alualu, yet he keeps staying on the roster... There's a reason for that and anybody with even half a brain of simple football knowledge knows why.

Alualu is a solid player. Good back up big end and solid rotational depth at DT. Anyone calling for his head doesn't know football and just sees that he hasn't lived up to his draft status, which isn't his fault. He didn't choose to be overdrafted.
