Excellent breakdown on the 4th and 1 coming back around from week 3.

He's had great breakdowns all year. If you don't follow him, now's a good time to start.

I find myself watching this kid and being in awe of his breakdown of the game. Is this Madden? How does this guy know so much? It's impressive to watch.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Chris Manhertz saying the play was supposed to go off tackle, but Etienne made the instinctive decision to bounce it outside?   If that is true, then Solak is just making a bunch of educated guesses and putting thoughts in people's heads that really weren't there.

It's at the 5:30 spot in this video.

It's hard to know exactly how a play is designed without being in the room when it is drawn up. I heard that from Manhertz as well which surprised me. It is very likely the play was designed for Etienne to follow the TEs through whichever hole they created. But you can see the defenders crashing in right there. And it is possible the guy Zay blocked plugged the hole Etienne was going to run through but Etienne saw it and bounced it outside.

Good point. I guess we never will really know as outside observers. With the WR coming back to block, it certainly LOOKED like they intended to create a wall and seal off that line, but, again, what do we know. The good news is that it looked like he would have picked that up either way.
