With the 24th pick, the Jaguars are on the clock!

You know how people say you should never draft a RB in the first round? Am I the only person on earth that feels the same way about tight ends?.. Like don't get me wrong, i'd give up a 1st for a guy like Travis Kelce all day long but how often are scouts right about Tight Ends coming out of college. It always feels like the first guy taken winds up being worse than someone in rounds 2-4.

Idk, I was a huge fan of Kyle Pitts coming out and even tho I think he's a good TE I don't think he's worth his draft stock..
That's why you have to draft the right guy.  If there was a redraft Kelce would be the number 1 overall pick, Kittle would be a top 10 pick only because of how great that draft was and would of went top 5 in most.  Gronk would of went 1st overall if you did a redraft as well in his class.   All the teams just missed on those guys.  If you feel one of these TEs is a future All Pro and is at the top of your board when you pick you take him.  If you don't trust your board then what the hell are you doing?  Pitts had over 1000 yards as a rookie but we are picking 24th, not top 10 or even top 20.  When you look at the teams that have won the SB over the last 20 years or so most of them had good to great TEs.  Gronk multiple, Kelce multiple, Kittle didn't win one but was in it,  Shockey, Heath Miller, Ertz, Goedert was in one, etc..  The top teams almost always have a solid to great TE.  When Eagles had prime Ertz and draft Goedert they gave offenses he'll in the 2 TE sets.  When the Pats had Gronk and AH, they gave offenses he'll as well. 2  really good TEs can really cause problems for defenses and almost think it's a must for Dougs offense to have a good TE in it.  What if Engram goes down also?  Not to mention he's only on the tag.
