Lawson is a good player. But he had some sort of domestic issue, and there was talk of a possible suspension.

Wonder if he can still play. He is getting up there in age.

Lawson in my opinion always played out of position.

I would put him as a weak side DE all day long.

Justin hunter big miss. Anytime they compare a guy to Moss you almost know he will fail
Go Jags!
*To stay up for atleast 2 years 3/6/17
2016 draft players I think will be good
  • On the Fournette train, will be best back of his class 3/6/17
  • Lattimore please,  Lockdowns on both sides would be nice
  • Engram at TE and the MJD clone Samaje Perine

I don't think Poutasi is that bad. Still only 22.

Funny to think the Titans took Poutasi one pick before the Jags took AJ Cann.

Good point about his age.   There have been many cases in which Offensive Lineman develop later on after struggling early in their careers.    It will be interesting to see what transpires with the waiver claim process.

Having a new GM in Tennessee likely was a major factor in the release of previous regime high round draft picks.

From what I've read its a combination of the new GM and also due to the new "smashmouth" running game they are trying to install. Poutasi is apparently not much of a mauler.

Yep. I think he will be scooped up quick.

The fact that Manny Lawson was even in the game last night in Detroit wasn't a good sign for him considering the very large number of Bills players that didn't play.

Though I was paying much more attention to the Lions players than the Bills players,  there was nothing specifically positive that caught my attention about Lawson's play in the game.   On the other hand,  Bills LB Jamari Lattimore made a number of good plays before suffering an injury.   Hopefully,  he's ok.

The trade up for T Jack Conklin,  a smashmouth type of player,  likely factored into everything that you mentioned.

I was thinking the same thing.

If not for a freak size/ speed ratio,  Stephen Hill would have been out of the NFL playing picture already.

If you can run the way he does, some team out there will give you a chance.
