I think for me it continues to fall back on Lawrence and Pederson. As long as those two are joined at the hip and on the same page this team can go the distance with anybody really. Just takes time for them to develop chemistry and for Lawrence to work on his craft. I think we're going to see what we saw in the 1990's, except, it will be for more like 6 - 10 years at the minimum instead of just 4. Not only do I think this team will win the division, and it'll be tough like I said in that other thread, BUT, I think this team sneaks up on play-off teams that end up higher in the seeding charts.
I think we're going to be watching a butthole pucker of an AFC Championship game again in the very near future. Would love for it to be a home game but it will probably end up being in Kansas City or Buffalo in a rematch game. My hope, is that, we have a championship thread and we all come in here saying something to the effect of "HOLY [BLEEP] [BLEEP]! I CAN'T BELIEVE MCMANUS MADE THAT [BLEEP] KICK THAT FAR OUT!" or "DUDE!!!!! WTH!!!!!!! HOW DID LAWRENCE PULL THAT OFF WITH JUST 10 SECONDS LEFT!?!?!?!?". It feels like we're heading in that direction. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky. The subtle tongue, the sophist guile, they fail when the broadswords sing; Rush in and die, dogs - I was a man before I was a king." Once you've reached the main-event level, you don't want to revert back to mid-card territory. The Jaguars have not made the playoffs in consecutive years since racking up four straight postseason berths from 1996 through '99. They have not posted a winning record immediately following a playoff appearance this millennium. But I believe in these Pederson-led Jaguars. They're different. Yes, I admittedly have a soft spot for this team and this fanbase, but to me, Jacksonville isn't far away from joining the true elites in a stacked AFC. Last season was just the beginning, and I expect to see the Jags back in the playoff tourney in January.

I have that same feeling about seeing what we saw from the mid 90’s to the late 90’s. We have a QB that gives us a chance to win against any team in the league. Offensively we have weapons up on the outside with a homerun hitter at RB. Agnew gives us the ability to flip the game on its head. He’s a threat to score anytime he touches the football. If Engram can continue doing his thing and you add a guy like Strange down there in the redzone, that can create mismatches. We have a young core on defense with Walker Abdullah, Lloyd, Campbell, Muma, Miller, Cisco, Lacy and Hamilton. And we have one of the best Head Coaches in the league. Dougie P. The future is looking good. The offense is putting up similar numbers that Mark Brunell, Jimmy Smith, Kennan McCardell, and Fred Taylor were putting up in 1998. It’s a great time to be a Jaguars fan. We got Tony Boselli representing Jacksonville in the Hall of Fame and now Coach Tom Coughlin is a semi finalist this year for enshrinement. Hopefully Fred Taylor will be next. And it won’t be long Trevor Lawrence will be building us a new stadium. Dude is everything he was hyped up to be.
