Space is too big for us to be alone.. I'm sure billions and billions of years ago, some prokaryotic bacteria evolved from some primordial soup like us..

A species that is capable of planning and surviving interstellar travel is unlikely to be very interested in our rapidly spinning gravity well.

Why not? We'd be interested in theirs..

If we could make it there and back in a single lifetime, perhaps.
The other species in my mind would have much longer life span, and come from a planet whose rotational period and mass allow for space elevators to be constructed of metals.  Our planet doesn't allow that.  They wouldn't want to get stuck on a rock that has no easy way back out.

Not just me.  You should read some of the more plausible science fiction out there to comprehend the distance and time that would be involved.  Count to a Trillion is a good example if you can find a copy, but the recent bestseller Project Hail Mary presents similar problems and it's available as an audiobook.

And they know this, how? Did they come from another galaxy and drop off a signed copy of Planetary and Galaxy Exploration by XegrL4?

Nobody knows dude.. Anyone's guess is almost as good as anothers.

Side note: If you think kids didn't hear that trash at home or somewhere else you're kidding yourself. I heard it sitting at a traffic light next to a car playing loud it with their windows down. And kids in the back seat singing along.

I know kids hear pretty much anything that's on the radio, and a bunch of stuff that isn't.
What's his point? What's yours?

Not one that you would understand.

You're just jealous because (in addition to being the ultimate authority on so many earthbound subjects), he even knows what interstellar travelers would be thinking about when coming here.  He is truly THE KNOWER OF ALL THINGS!

Once again, Jags fans have been forgotten. Not after this season.

You're wrong.  You have absolutely no way of knowing the motives and intentions of potential alien life, or even the physical form in which such life might exist.

It's a super catchy song. When I hear it, it gets stuck in my head for hours. Hit number 1 on the top 100 billboard. LA Times called it "Delightfully Raunchy." Truth is that it's just another, oversexualized Hollywood product that's encouraging young women to be whores. They just keep pushing out the boundaries of what's considered normal. The message is terrible for young children, though. Why do we not have a spoiler tag on this forum? Because, even though this can be accessed by a quick YouTube search and heard in the car, this arguably can't be posted here. A small town is inciteful, though.

Holy cow…

Yeah. It’s in the same hot throbbing vein (am I doing this right?) of hypocrisy of whining about “banning books” from elementary school libraries but at the same time deeming their content to be unsuitable to be read at school board meetings or on news programs.

That gets a +1.  Sorry Mike but that was funny!

WAP is nothing more than the current incarnation of what 2 Live Crew did long before you and I saw our beards start changing color.

Big deal. Nothing new.

Set me straight if I'm missing it - but you didn't intend to compare backlash from a pornographic rap song to banning books did you?

Banning books? Were the books taken out of circulation? Or simply removed from places of access where elementary school-aged children could access them without the consent of parents? Maybe we could call it a draw and play WAP over the school PA system. No big deal. Nothing new.

Were we playing 2 live crew over school PA systems 35 years before DeSantis was taking books off of public school shelves? Or nah?

Why conflate these two completely disparate things?

There is zero correlation.

Sure there is, the correlation is cultural rot. Exactly what one of the debate candidates was expressing last night in fact.
