Relax. Jags are still a playoff team.

Guess the Lions aren’t a good team because they got curb stomped by the Ravens.

And Texans aren’t a good team because they actually lost to the worst team in the league in the Panthers.

Dallas isn’t good because they lost to the Cardinals.

Eagles aren’t good because they lost to the Jets.

The Jags are 6-3. Today sucks. Trevor was bad. OLine was bad. Playmakers were bad.

Some of you can jump ship. Be my guest. You likely jumped ship last year too.

Technically, we are the 3rd seed in the AFC if the season were to end today. So yes, as of tonight, we are still a playoff team.

We are spoiled now a bit when fans start acting like they want to jump ship over a 6-3 record.

Couldn’t agree more.

And I don’t want it to seem like today didn’t suck. It was the worst game of the season by a long shot.

But this team has shown that they can respond to adversity. I expect them to come out firing on all cylinders against the tacks.

when jags lose a game they seem to go on a loseing streak. last year 5 game loseing streak.   this year  they lose to chiefs, and texans in back to back games.

The Bills and Steelers would be considered a quality AFC opponent. We convincingly beat both, and when the 49ers win they have made their opponents look pathetic and hopeless. I wouldn't worry unless we get blown out next week against Tennessee.. that would be bad. We've proven resilient already this season, we should bounce back up.

The bye week is different after the last contract. You know how the preseason isn't what it use to be? Dame for the bye week.

They don't do alot anymore. You can't fix the busted crap with an extra week off.

there is only 8 games left in the season. after the blowout today,i expect jags to go on a 5 to 6 game loseing streak.   don't be surpised if tittians are favored by 24 points in jacksonville next week. Jags got a good defense, but qb,and offense flat out sucks.  Teal of doom will be the only way Jags get anymore wins this season.  unforttantly defenses get tired, and they also get tired of playing so hard only to see the offense give games away. i have no confidence in jags offense,im  considering tradeing him away in fansy football for a better qb.

The offense isn't that different but the routes are focused too much on the sidelines and deep. They have got to stop this but they won't move away from it. Ridley can run routes in the middle and the rest of the WRs can play every position. No need to try and force a 1 deep threat WR when it isn't there and the offense doesn't need that to work.

They definitely installed more sideline routes this year - and rightfully so since they acquired a real X receiver.
It is definitely not working out the way they planned though.
Between the pressure being quick and frequent and the acquired receiver getting bumped off routes it just hasn't come together often. It's fair to put some of it on Trevor, but he has hit some good ones to Ridley down the sideline and he's also thrown him several incompletions that way that drew a PI flag. So it's a mixed bag of results, but not as effective as they planned.
Ridley isn't an X WR. He needs to lineup at different spots and run all types of routes. His routes versus previous years are very telling.

This stupid offense has broken Trevor because he has to wait longer before coming off the 1st read. Trevor was great last year at reading the defense and finding the open WR. Now he can't find the open WR and when he does, he seems to hesitate for a split second before then seeing the rush and stumbling around into a sack.

They really need to go back to last year and run every route from every position. Break the rules, the trends, and make the DBs have to guess which WR is which on every play.

It's going to take a team effort to fix this but it has to start at the top. If Pederson keeps saying they have to execute better, they won't be winning the division. A great coach would adjust when his players can't execute the plays that are being called.

Yes, the 49rs are right there with the eagles as nfc favorites to get to the superbowl. Jags were knocking on the door, but the door was slammed in our faces today. It’s a learning experience. Time to kick down the door next time.

accuttlyy yes a qb can, stroud has half his o-line out, and is still winning games. Jags have the whole starting o-line, and can only get 3 points.  I don't like the texans, but unforttantly  they got a real qb that will some day lead texans to a super bowl win.  Jags got a superstar qb with Rourke, and they won't play him.

Dude. Just stop. Embrace reality.

Jags have the Achilles Heel up front. It's going to hobble them and put a cap on what they can achieve.

What u say about that.

Probably because we had Rourke on the roster for a game or two during that run lol

I will say that after yesterday's showing the NFC should be on notice. The Niners are gonna wreck some teams in the postseason.

Just a reminder that we are still very much a work in progress, both in roster building and developing an identity/gameplan. We are capable of pulling off some wins, too, but by no means are we dominant anywhere.

We'll be ok. This is not the end. This is a wake-up call.

Yawn.  Part way through last season, you were saying that the Jaguars would be picking #1 in the draft.

We're also 5-1 in our last 6 games.

If the season ended today, we would win the division and have the #3 seed in the AFC playoffs.  Only one AFC team has fewer losses by us and that's by one game.  Sheesh!

No one is above losing in the NFL. The practice is limited and it is hard to overcome your deficiencies. The offense has not hit their stride or looked like a force yet. They did it before, I am hoping it gets on track.

Honestly the defense is better than I thought they would show. Get right on offense and it will look different.

Years of apathy have made it hard to stay objective.
