Agreed. Khan's inability to seemingly initiate a clean break, a full sweep from regime to regime has been odd to me since it started. I don't know if it's entirely uncommon in the NFL though. I admittedly don't dig into every team's front office woes and tendencies. 

However, it just feels like we're seeing an owner that's comfortable with keeping people around for the sake of keeping them around. At this point, I hope before it's too late that he gives the EVP of Football Operations another try. 

Coughlin's blunder shouldn't deter him from trying this again. It worked to some extent. Right title, right idea just the wrong man for the wrong time is all.
