Troy Polamalu: The Tasmanian Devil

This is a pretty nice video of Polamalu's career. Regardless of your feelings for the Steelers in general you can't not respect this man. I had no idea his nickname was Tasmanian Devil. It's definitely fitting! We're only shown once we he trucked MJD pretty good. He was merciless against Cleveland. I imagine they were thankful when he finally retired. I've always loved the guy, my favorite player that's not a Jag. I loved when we were in the same division with the Steelers. It was a great rivalry. Anyway, enjoy!

ETA: I hate the NFL. Just let us watch stuff where we want to. Idiots.

As a (mostly) bald dude, I irrationally hate the man.

Polamalu was one-of-a-kind. Not difficult to be a fan of him/his career despite allegiance to another team.

Glad he wasn't playing when Jags were in the AFC Central w/ the stillers. I think he came into the league 2 or 3 years later.

As a woman with curly but fine hair I have always been mega envious of his abundance. Lol

Yes, the AFC South was formed in 2002 and Polamalu came onto the scene in 2003. He was a Steeler until his retirement in 2014.

Reed and Polamalu are the 2 best. I think Bob Sanders could of been right there with them if it wasn't for Injuries. All 3 won DPOY, the year Bob won it might of been the best year I ever seen a safety have. That Colts D was night and day without Sanders

Coming out of colleg Karl Joseph kinda reminded me of Sanders and I thought he was going to be a monster. Ended up a bust

He's a humble individual. There was a clip of him explaining to Ryan Clark and another former teammate feeling as if he was not worthy of being their leader or being bestowed a specific honor with the team because he couldn't see himself separately from the team.

I still crack up every time I see the McAfee fake punt play call cancelled on his end when it's circulating. "Here comes the Angel of Death up to the line of scrimmage, he wasn't supposed to be there, how in the hell does he know I am going to run this fake punt?".

Nice!  What a humble guy and awesome that one of the few he name dropped and had great praise for was Double D.

Sorry, maybe the best you've ever seen, but not the best safeties of all time.
