According to the interwebs from 1960 to 2015 there were 35 bridge collapses caused by ships. So .64 per year worldwide. 18 of those were in the US. So .33 per year...
They definitely seem to be happening more often, however, without looking at the year by year totals its hard to extrapolate anything from those numbers.. could have been 5 in one year and then nothing for 5 years. |
