Trump Guilty

I'm betting it's a hung jury and a mistrial.

Mistrial I wager.

Doesn't matter.. He still gets my vote, even if convicted in a Banana Republic.

I just don't think they will be able to get all 12 jurors to vote to convict.

And, much as I dislike Trump, I don't think a person like him would normally be charged for a crime like this.  I've seen so many things in my business career.  CEOs expensing payments for personal stuff.  It happens literally all the time, all over the place.

And I also think, even if he's convicted, he doesn't have a criminal record that I am aware of, so I think the judge will sentence him to some sort of probation.  I don't think the judge will send him to jail.

From the legal analysis I heard, the jury can find him guilty of some charges and not others. My guess is he’ll be convicted on a few charges but not the rest.

It was a Kangaroo Court to begin with. Is Trump a saint? No. None of us are. I just don't think he deserved to get dragged into this the way he got dragged into it. Conveniently during an election year.

All it's done is fuel more and more people to get out and vote for him. There's lower celebrities than him that have gotten away with murder. It's a joke. A disservice to everyone's time really.

Jurors asking to review information :

Note from jurors contains 4 requests, judge says
“The note contains 4 requests," Judge Juan Merchan says.

According to the judge, the jury wants:

Quote:David Pecker’s testimony regarding a phone conversation with Donald Trump while Pecker was in the investor meeting.
Pecker's testimony about the decision not to finalize and fund the assignment of Karen McDougal's life rights.
Pecker's testimony regarding a Trump Tower meeting.
Michael Cohen's testimony regarding the Trump Tower meeting.

Exactly how many and what charges was this case about?

In my opinion from what I have seen, anything more than acquittal or case being dismissed is unacceptable.

Are those lower celebrities running for office and screaming "law and order" from podium after podium all over America?

He asked for law and order. He's getting just a tiny taste of it here.

There's a worthy moral here that makes this not a disservice, but a worthwhile exercise:

If you're gonna pay out hush money to cover your [BLEEP] behavior while trying to get elected - you better be smarter about how you hide the payment so you aren't guilty of fraud. If he's this sloppy trying to hide his personal pigpen rutting - he's not trustworthy with the authority of office.

It's 34 felony counts of falsifying business records to hide the hush money payment to the porn actress.

34 charges. I’m not sure what all of the charges are.

Here's a list if needed:

The [BLEEP] has that got to do with this?

The list is pretty standard. Gives the counts, doesn't give exact details, just names a person involved, they love bringing up that affair he had though (prior to being elected). Plenty of historical affairs during presidential terms served. All of this was done prior to Trump serving the country though.

Didn't know having sex with another woman outside of your marriage made you unworthy of being President prior to running for President. Also didn't know paying somebody to shut the [BLEEP] about it was illegal. Weird laws. Weird country. Mired with hypocrisy.

What happened to that fruit cake that made a sex tape in the congressional hall?

Has a lot to do with it. It's a simple yes or no question. Just looking to call out the blatant double standards and hypocrisy of it all. Pretty easy to discern.

You can't lie about what you did with $130,000 worth of money from one of your businesses registered in the state of New York. It's illegal.

That's what he's on trial for.

LOL

Bull [BLEEP]

Has NOTHING to do with it.

I hope they hold every single candidate form any party or non-party to the same fire.
They've tried a half dozen times to find charges that will stick on Biden. They have simply failed to find anything that will stick. But I applaud any reasonable attempt to charge his wrong doing should it exist.

Trump on the other hand has 90 some odd charges awaiting trial or decision.

That's it? That's what they're trying to hang him for? That seems like common practice amongst Wallstreet and most of your top business investors and corporations. Pretty sure most of these Presidential candidates accept money under the same circumstances. They just don't get caught doing it or it's kept quiet.

But, "Orange man bad, Dementia man that loves ice cream good" I guess, carry on.

One is a career politician heavily invested in the quagmire of shady lobbyist's and corporations that he does their bidding for, much like Obama (see 2008 leaks), much like Clinton (look high and low around the internet, doesn't take long), much like the Bush (Cheney connection and WOMD lie) dynasty.

The other is a loud mouth billionaire that didn't need very many handouts to run for President.

That's why things stick to him and why Biden is coated in Teflon. It's only a conspiracy though when a right winger or centrist says it. It's completely believable that Trump got a Golden Shower in Russia though.

To be honest, I'm more interested in the Post Trial pressers that Trump gives versus the trial and verdict itself. Today was great --- Judge is crooked and even Mother Theresa couldn't have a fair trial under these conditions. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY CNN IS FAVORING BIDEN ...... THE RATINGS WITH TRUMP ARE GOING TO BLOW AWAY THIS ERA WITH BIDEN.

Just find the double standards in our country mind numbingly frustrating. Trump catches hell over $130,000.

Meanwhile:

Congress has paid out $17M (Probably closer to $30M - $40M with other lawsuits) in Sexual Harassment against our elected "leaders".

Give me a [BLEEP] break...

It is mind numbingly frustrating  that a jackass can scream "law and order" at the top of his lungs everywhere he tries to drum up votes and then act like a little [BLEEP] moaning and complaining and attacking the judge's family when he is held accountable for actually breaking the law.

That's the double standard you're lost on here.

All of our elected officials should be held to a higher degree of scrutiny. It's despicable what they get away with and how we're forced to choose between the lesser of the evils between them as candidates so often.

The fact that so many have this response is downright sad:
"All he did was lie about what he did with $130,000 so it wouldn't look like he paid off a porn star! What's the big deal?"

It's sad how far we've stooped to wave off this kind of garbage from the people representing us as if it's nothing.  Left, Right, Center, I don't care.
The standard should be higher for all of us.  Much higher.
