We are one month from the first preseason game

#1

That's right folks, football is not that far away again. Training camp opens in 13 days on July 24th and we get to see how this new look roster goes. For me, this has been such an encouraging offseason. We usually 'win' the offseason and are full of hype and hope that usually crash and burns but I think this has been one of our best offseasons for some time. Lawrence resigned, Josh resigned, new stadium agreed, new DC, rebuilt secondary and Dline, new WR weapons and new bodies at Oline. There's plenty to be optimistic about and I have a feeling this roster and coaching staff is frustrated how last season ended and have a point to prove.

Should be some great camp battles and while preseason games are something you look forward to until they arrive and then just want them over, there should be some interest to see where players land depth chart wise.

Yea this month is the longest time of the year, except the years we go 3-14 or 1-15. Ever notice the years we win fly by, are over before you know it and seem to be shorter?

Pretty sure I seen that the Rookies report to camp on the 19th, which will be here before we know it.

As Bart Scott would say... CAN'T WAIT!

Yes, I’m looking forward to this! I’ve spent this month getting new jag swag. Shirts and hats for the bar.

The camp battles are going to be fun. And Cooper Hodges is going to be nice.

We're one month away from this team's remarkable Superbowl journey with a victory at the end of it.

It sets the tone.
It's been written in stone.
That new stadium will have it's fate.
Paved by a road made of teal and gold.

I usually cannot wait and count down the days. This year I have a calm confidence that I can’t explain. I mean by most accounts our three division rivals out hustled us this offseason and all took a step forward while the experts say we stood pat or even took a step back. My gut keeps telling me that last year’s collapse has been burning inside every returning player and coach and THIS year is going to be special. I anticipate a Jags vs 49’s Super Bowl with everything between now and then will just be foreshadowing. I hope my gut is right.

The Texans have big heads now. Jags need to take back control in 2024

I doubt it Jag88, but I watched him closely before the injury and he has starter ability. I expect him to be a starter week 1.

I call last year The Face Plant Season. Homies just flat passed out on their feet.

I remember when we had joint practice with the defending champion Patriots prior to the 2017 season and we had a great season. Players and coaches were pointing that out throughout the year as a great benchmark and learning opportunity.

It's a good way to mix it up. The key is just getting in and out of these situations as healthy as possible. No bad blood, etc.

Also, in all honesty, you're looking at Andy Reid and Spaggs as the defensive coordinator. These guys are Hall of Famers. Regardless of the personnel out there, they'll be having fun and keeping everybody on their toes.
