2024 Jaguars Offense
|
So - since the end of 2022 many of us were begging for more downfield shots, more under center snaps, more downfield passing etc...
Well - we got those things in weeks one and two Unfortunately the OL didn't get the memo on how to block for these plays. So, what's next? Are they going to balance things back a bit to the shorter targets and quick releases? Do we press on and pray the OL can keep TL clean? What about the run game? The line is failing there as well since 90% of our yards are after contact. https://x.com/DanDGriffis/status/1836780675514462443 https://twitter.com/DanDGriffis/status/1...5514462443 We show less advertisements to registered users. If Lawrence keeps getting hit at the current pace he's going to spend the second half injured just like last year.

In typical Jags fashion, they’ll probably play well this game to prove they can, and then revert back to the old sloppy ways by the next game.
It’s so exhausting being a fan of this team.

Indeed, the people like Snowie who've completely gone over have it easy by comparison. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato

If they can actually find the balance between the explosive plays and the Engram/Kirk quick game…..
I an not sure I remember how to behave when the team is performing on a consistent basis. I do however look forward to re learning that.

My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

It just puts them in a bad position. He points a number of them out in this one game alone.
Yeah I saw that video too. It's not necessarily the play calling; it's the scheme itself. Way too complicated. Having tes and wrs trying to block Myles Garrett and lbs for example. We're not even giving our guys a chance.
I was watching the jets oline last night run block and they just go downhill with some double teams to open holes. Super simple. Wish we could run something like that We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

The multiple run plays that literally drew a LB in and asking the WR or TE to cross the tackle and make a block on a player they can’t even physically get to before he’s blowing up the play

Just figure it out man. Incorporate the quick game with these explosive plays.
