The New York Jets have fired coach Robert Saleh after starting the season 2-3, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Saleh, who was hired by the Jets in 2021, has a 20-36 record as the team's head coach

Seems a little premature in my opinion. This is a bit of an admission of failure by Woody Johnson as well.

You went all in on Zach Wilson. Failed.
You went all in on Aaron Rodgers. Failing.

That division is also very much winnable still. Plenty of time to turn around. Time will tell.

Would be funny if Brant Boyer or Nathaniel Hackett were promoted to Head Coach.

wait, I thought the Jest were superb owl contenders?

bwahahahahaa

more serious note I kinda wonder if this is pre-fallout to a deal for Adams. If Saleh wasn't on board with the shake up, GM A. A. Ron had little choice but to drop the axe.

I always had a feeling Rodgers would get back to rocking the boat in due time there.

And here we are. Boat duly rocked.

I hope they fester under the interim.

The problem is their oline is 27th in run blocking and 27th in pass blocking. They will go nowhere with that oline just like Trevor hasn't stood a chance when we have one of the worst olines in the league. They have to get that oline fixed to give Hall and Rodgers a chance

Jets are a D ran organization in an A rated market.

Woody Johnson doesn't know what he's doing.

Should stick to selling Baby Oil to P. Diddy and sell the team already.

Sounds like a downgrade really. Another Jim Tomsula situation.

That should also fall heavily on Joe Douglas as well.

This is a pure Aaron Rodgers move. They have basically a 1 yr window with him and Aaron is dictating the moves here. Pretty obvious after watching Saleh walk back any post game remarks he's made thru 5 weeks that contradicted the Prince of Darkness Retreats remarks.

They're playing the Bills for 1st place in the division this week on Monday night.  Premature is an understatement.

All I can say is it’s about time. My brother is a die hard jets fan and I live in NY so I catch most of their games. The guy has been the worst coach in the league for years. His teams show up unprepared and undisciplined every single week.

They are bad everywhere on O. Every. Where. Still have no idea how anyone thought they were championship caliber.

Not complaining, perfectly fine with A. A. Ron mired on a miserable team and we certainly don't need anyone else competing for the AFC crown.

I think you messed up the syntax there...."in this weak division" might have been the proper phrasing.

The fact that the dysfunctional Jest are in the conversation says everything that needs to be said about that division.
