Where are those magnetic gloves? Team could really use them.

It's Sunshine Favre's fault. He doesn't throw a very catchable ball or puts too much mustard on it or something like that. I am sure that's what we'll see here soon in this thread.

The fact that he's gone through a couple of WR groups lends some credence to the fact that it takes two players to complete a pass. It's certainly not all on Trevor, but accuracy does affect the catch.

Agree it takes two and Trevor hasn't been the most accurate. Evan Engram had the second highest amount of drops in the entire NFL in his last year with the Giants. Gabe Davis tied for 4th highest in 2022 with Josh Allen throwing him the ball. Kirk wasn't bad but had 6 his last year in Arizona and his drop rate was a good margin higher than the league average. Ridley had one of the highest drop rates during his time in Atlanta. Brian Thomas is a complete stud but he 7.4% drop rate in college, which is in the 20th percentile ranking since 2019. The fundamental issue seems to be the pass catchers the Jags bring in have an established history of drops. Zay Jones did have a huge uptick with Trevor vs his time with the Bills/Raiders

When I saw BTJ drop his TD catch, that's when I realized that this team is cooked. Nobody believes in anything anymore. They all checked out of that game. It's scary.

T-Law and BTJ could have actually been a thing. But man, the entire team just has no passion. And you can see it from the GM down the to HC down to the QB in post game press conferences. There's not fight in this team. The WRs are not performing as they should. But they have potential. We've seen how good these receivers are (besides Davis- -even though he can flash) But they just aren't consistent. These receivers are not consistency.

Hopefully it changes in our Home Stadium, Wembley. At least we'll have a home game. I'm sure the home crowd will totally rally our much beleaguered players and coaches.

You get more drops when you don't have that elite No. 1 receiver. The team hasn't had one since Jimmy Smith or maybe an uninjured Alan Robinson.

Hopefully, Brian Thomas will change that, but he has to stop dropping balls. He is a rookie, so he can develop into a Chase, Collins or Lamb.

Saw some retired WR's talking about this and they said that Trevor throws a great pass, but the WR's just aren't putting in the time/effort to practice like they should. And they pointed out that Evan Engram started putting in extra practice time and his drop rate went down and he's had career years in receiving.

Let me get this correct
If the passes had been caught that would of meant that Lawrence would of had a 6 touchdown game and would of been one of his best games as a jag

So too many sideline routes or standing still.

Go back to the 2022 routes and get the ball into space.

Well no, bc three of them were on one drive. But he would have had 3. The three drops on the same drive ultimately ended in a TD pass so that “stat line” would have been the same on that one.

And that also would have changed the entire complexion of the game and who knows what that results in.

This team is finally developing a downfield passing attack and you want to revert to the dink and dunk?

I don't think that's the fix.

I think it's just a matter of moving the chains a bit more with the standard Dougie P mesh stuff from 22/23 you're referring to - while being just slightly more balanced about taking these deep shots in play action.

The passes completed to BTJ and Kirk of +20 yesterday opened up the run game like magic.
Gotta keep hitting on those and let Tank benefit from the adjustments.

The obvious issue with that is that when we are facing a decent pass rush, our OL may or may not protect well enough to complete the PA  deep balls. Seems worth the risk so far if they are smart about it.

I think the most obvious thing is Evan Engram is back and playing well. He's the extension of the lackluster running game that keep the offense on schedule and moves the chains. When you can do that you can take those deep shots because you have an effective outlet underneath.

They also seem to have a running game behind Tank and the OL blocked much better this week. The deep shot to BTJ had a beautiful pocket.

Keep Cam on the bench. Have Little start from here on out. Have Tank be the in between the tackle runner with ETN being more of a 3rd down back. Trade Gabe Davis for Jakobi Meyers. Pray the Packers, Lions, Vikings and Eagles have bad weeks.
