It may become the most watched news piece of all time by viewership. In 2 days on youtube alone, it has over 34million views. That does not inclue other platforms like spotify/X, etc or the people who are posting clips off of it and their views. Love him or hate him, Trump is a true cult of personality.
My take on the interview: I thought it was ok. Trump did dance around some answers but also gave some great insight. The man can talk and probably could of gone another couple of hours. I did like the fact that they talked outside of politics to know a little bit about the person. Overall I think Trump did a good job. It wasn't perfect but far better than I think Kamala could do. Kamala has only one argument when asked hard questions. Her response is always, "Trump this or Trump that." She never answers the real tough questions. https://youtu.be/hBMoPUAeLnY?si=3NHKfRD33xz9Bozz We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I saw a clip Fox News put up on youtube from the podcast and all he did was bash Harris. It may have only been that bit where it was an issue but it was unnecessary IMO. If Fox's purpose was to reinforce how dumb Harris is, they didn't need to put the focus on Trump saying it, she shows her incompetence every time she speaks. I may listen to some of it but I have the attention span of a gnat when it comes to interviews and podcasts.
Listen to it on Spotify was ok kind of a softball interview from Rogan which I get he probably had a list of no go topics.
Thought the alien part was brief but interesting sounds like Trump doesn’t buy into any of it. Really good insight into Trump as a person when he was talking about non political stuff and that’s when he’s at his best, he’s not a policy guy which is fine, trump is the embodiment of an executive his success is 100% dependent on the right hires. That’s my best hope he can make better hires this time. Rogan pushed back on election fraud claims, made it clear that he personally was skeptical, but did it in a friendly way. Rogan also accepted all of Trump's claims about how tariffs work with no push back at all. Trump claims that tariffs will bring manufacturing back to the US and it will be an overall win even if prices go up for some things the economy will be doing better so it'll be an overall win. That's possible, but looking at other countries it's very unlikely. Compare Mexico to Brazil. Brazil tries to stimulate manufacturing with lots of tariffs. Mexico keeps tariffs low. Mexico is not rich, but they are about twice as rich as Brazil, in terms of GDP per person.

Rogan pushed the election interference angle while Trump danced around the stolen election angle. They both agree it wasn’t a fair election for whatever that’s worth. I don’t care about 2020 I care about 2025 and beyond. Trump talked in length about using tariffs as an economic weapon, big example was a Chinese manufacturing plant in Mexico he killed it with threatening tariffs at over 200%. In that specific case it’s the perfect use as a weapon in no way should we let china enter our market anymore than they already are. They also talked at length about RFK and his health movement make America healthy they called it. Really should make time to listen to the whole thing there’s a lot to unpack and there’s a lot of fluff too.

Those countries don't have the U.S. economy. Everyone wants to do business here. We should treat it as the commodity it is. I said those two countries are similar to each other. They are both behind the US in terms of education and infrastructure. Yet they both have ample natural resources and arable land. Mexico's economy has grown better than Brazil's in the post WWII years, with its lower tariffs.

I actually didn't watch the podcast yet, but damn, I can tell already this one will be a banger. The bad part is that I'm sure Trump has some limitations on what he can say and do, but still, I look forward to it

It was meh, but that's mostly on Trump. I can't stand listening to him talk. "The weave" is just a thinly veiled attempt to excuse his rambling. Get to the point, man. Trump wastes more time with unnecessary adjectives and adverbs than anyone I've ever seen.

But the weave always ends up back at the original question, so that in itself pretty much throws away the cognitive decline accusations from the left.

Well... kind of. He is losing a step.
That said, In no way, shape, or form is he on Joe's level or even at a place where I think a person could say he has dementia or any of the dumb [BLEEP] these MSM dopes like to say... but if you watch him now compared to 2016 or even 2020, he's just not at the same level. Just as he has declined quite a bit in the last few years, Biden has as well. Dementia is a friend to no one. How you think Trump is less physically fit than Biden is beyond me. Trump is a bigger guy for sure but he gets around better than Biden does.

Everyone wants to do business here. We should treat it as the commodity it is. Couple things, First, tariffs are neither good or bad, they are a weapon in the ongoing economic war between countries. Yes, it is a war, just not with bullets. The failure of our politicians to negotiate on our country's behalf has produced a huge imbalance. Some countries impose 5 times the tariffs on us that we do on them. (China for instance) This is a tax on our companies for access to their markets. On top of that there are way more restrictions on our companies then ever thought about here. In addition the EU has suddenly began using laws to fine our companies when they want money (Microsoft, Apple Google etc) Think of ways to fund their social programs.... Second the current election has many using this topic as a club to frighten people is all. In fact on CNBC the other day a very well know Wharton Professor kind of debunked a lot of what has been said. (much to the chagrin of the moderator, I believe he called it over an exaggeration) Have you ever negotiated anything?
