The Hillary Clinton Presidency

#1

I'm starting a thread for Clinton and also one for Trump.  The purpose is to speculate what each might do if and when they attain the Presidency, given what we know about their respective histories and what they have shown in this campaign.

What policies would they enact?  What promises have been made which are unlikely to be kept?  Who might be appointed to various Cabinet posts?  Who might be tagged to fill the empty SCOTUS position and future seats on the Supreme Court?  What might America look like after a 4 or 8 year reign?

Of course these threads are ripe for partisanship, but let's try to put some thought into responses.  Humorous as well as serious responses are of course welcome.

More taxes.

More government.

Less freedom.

On the way to the government food dispersement store you will go through various checkpoints.  Martial Law was declared before Obama left office due to Clinton being in jail for federal crimes.  Its been 3 years and Obama still resides in the office.  Guns are off the streets and combat veterans are in jail for speaking out against islam and the government.  3 Million Syrian refugees have entered the US since then.  Health care and higher education remain broken.

ObamaCare will likely collapse under its own weight no matter who is in the White House.  Progressives have said the ACA is just a necessary first step toward a Single Payer system.  If we go to single payer under Hillary, how would that work?  How do they eliminate health insurance without destroying the insurance companies?  What happens to the drug companies if the profit motive is removed?  And how would we pay for universal health care?

How would a Clinton Administration conduct business, knowing everything is subject to FOIA laws?  Heavy encryption, then claim they lost the decryption keys?

If Hillary is President I expect the ACA to evolve into a single payer system she's always advocated single payer and the ACA was just a stepping stone that's obvious now.

I expect taxes to go up, for everyone and the deficit spending to also increase. I expect some stimulus bill for infrastructure to be a key issue for her to get passed in her first term, democrats love spending on infrastructure.

We end up invading the middle east again, Saudi Arabia has her in their pocket as much as they did the Bush family.

No cigars allowed.  A fancy desk is found out back smashed to splinters.

See Medicare Part C. A single payer system will have no impact on the pharm industry unless they attempt to nationalize it as well, which won't happen.

We won't pay for it, our great grandchildren will.

Things just about stay the same.  Scalia's seat may stay empty for 5 years.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Policies - more taxes, more regulation, weaken the military more.

Cabinet posts will be filled by those in the Clinton cartel and/or those that have paid for them.

Empty seats on the SCOTUS will be filled with either large donors to the Clinton Foundation or just "run-of-the-mill" liberals that make decisions on bias rather than The Constitution.

The U.S. will look a lot more like Venezuela or Greece after 4 more years of Obama Clinton, possibly even worse.

Good Lord. This post may even scare some of the Clinton backers to vote Trump. Scary.

In a Clinton Presidency, the SCOTUS would be for the foreseeable future tilted solidly to the left.  As such, we'd likely see more laws appear out of thin air by court decree rather than make their way through the legislative branch like the system was designed to do.

It won't.  The "Clinton backers" are pretty much partisan voters that will vote for the D no matter who it is.  You know, they do love the D party.  There are a few Bernie Sanders supporters that might vote for Clinton, but I'll bet that a vast majority of them either won't vote or will vote for a third party candidate.  The remaining ones will vote simply because of the D.

ObamaCare is reformed to only cover transgender operations.

Everyone else gets Medicare, but most doctors retire or change careers and getting an appointment takes at least 2 years.

In response, neighborhood clinics open up staffed by nurse practitioners.  All non-emergency visits are $20.

Surgery centers open up with prices posted.  Competition drives prices down.  Setting a broken arm costs $100.  A liver transplant is $1000.
