It is pretty amazing though that his only coach has been his dad his entire career. Can you imagine the urge to switch to a more "conventional" swing during a slump at any point in his career? Jim Furyk is the ultimate pro and I hope he can grab another major before he hangs it up.

I will add though, his swing, although effective, is really awkward to watch!

His journey is well documented. Barkley was a single digit during his playing days.

 

He developed the full swing yips/hitch. 

 

Actually, when he was working with Haney, it vastly improved. Not sure what happened since then.
