"I'm told QB Deshaun Watson is scheduled to be with the #Jaguars Apr. 5-6. #NFL"

Love this. Could be just to keep our options open and keep teams guessing or we could actually want him.

Would love it if they drafted him

I think we met with Wentz and Goff too last year though right? So could be nothing

If he slips to round 2 for some reason, I could see it. At #4, heck no.

Calling Deshawn Watson a future bust since 3/19/17. If I eat crow, I will keep this in here and proclaim JackCity a genius.

I have no problem with it at 4.  Even if he sits for a year.

I'm sure that's the idea, or perhaps gauging the value of trading up (a lot) later.

Too many qb needy teams for him to drop that far.

Would be highly unlikely that we draft a QB in the first anyway. Would make for a very weird locker room with Bortles playing for his job and a 1st round rookie behind him waiting to play.

Do you know the headache we have if Watson went to tinhorns.  Think about it Luck, Marriotta, and Watson

He won't make it to that pick, but yes that would not be fun.

I'm sure it is already a fun locker room with (I'm guessing) a majority of the team having 0 confidence in him.

Taking it to the top of the Modis building.

Good point. But Bridge water didn't win the NCAA championship either.

He's just not very impressive.

In the ACCCG, Jerod Evans looked just as good or better.

IMO, he's the classic college QB lifted on a pedestal of a great team.

If that's the logic we're going with, Tebow should be posing for his bust in Canton by now, right?

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I've thought about it. Now what?

I would point out something. As bad as the Jaguars have been the past two years, they have managed to go 3-2 against Mariota and Luck.

The issue with that was no playoff system.  That was based on polls alone.  And many talented teams got shafted due to different reasons.  But I will say my bad.   Because I did not clarify that.

It worked out for Joe Montana and Steve Young.

Montana and Favre were both in their 30s though so the dynamic was a little different.

I'm all for it but it would be strange to have Bortles play for his job this year while at the same time telling him he isn't the future.
