In Honor of April Fools Draft
|
In the spirit of April Fools Day, here's a potential draft class for the Jaguars that is so good that if it were held today, people would say, " Is this an April Fool's joke?"
Rd. 1: Solomon Thomas- Very unlikely, but still possible. Rd. 2: Cam Robinson- Baggage drops him to 2nd. Rd. 3: Sammy Perrine- Not Fournette, but very powerful and a steal here. Rd. 4: Adam Shaheen- May have most upside of all the tight ends except Howard and Njoku. Rd. 5 Damontae Kazee- Very deep cornerback class drops him to 5th, but amazing value for future starter at nickel. Rd. 6 Chad Kelly- Character issues drop him here. Has potential. Rd. 7 Jon Toth- Can make team as backup center or guard. This draft gives the Jags potential upgrades at 5 starting positions and at least 2 possible pro-bowlers of the future (Thomas, Robinson). Add in the potential of Shaheen and Kazee and you have a draft that is so good others would say it, " I know, this is an April Fool's joke." What is your "too good to be true" draft? Remember, it must be a possibility so please no Fournette in the 2nd or Tabor in the 5th. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I'll do the same by using my actual Fanspeak mock draft. It's just so good it's worth re-posting even though it will never happen...

April Fools Draft:
<div style="font-size:26px;">4: R1P4 <div>EDGE TACO CHARLTON MICHIGAN If only we played on Tuesdays, we could have Taco Tuesdays. </div> </div> <div style="font-size:26px;">35: R2P3 <div>EDGE TANOH KPASSAGNON VILLANOVA Good luck pronouncing this one, whoever announces this pick. Actually it doesn't look that hard to pronounce. </div> </div> <div style="font-size:26px;">68: R3P4 <div>CB CORN ELDER MIAMI Option 1: OG Option 2: OT Option 3: CORN We went with corn. </div> </div> <div style="font-size:26px;">110: R4P3 <div>TE JAKE BUTT MICHIGAN He'll be the Butt of everyone's jokes. </div> </div> <div style="font-size:26px;">148: R5P4 <div>S WESTON STEELHAMMER AIR FORCE You have to admit this is an AWESOME name. </div> </div> <div style="font-size:26px;">187: R6P3 <div>RB ELIJAH HOOD NORTH CAROLINA Wait, I thought this was Elijah Wood. You know the little hobbit guy. The guy who was almost killed by the Home Alone Kid. </div> </div> <div style="font-size:26px;">222: R7P4 <div>S FISH SMITHSON KANSAS Taco, Corn, and Fish. Sounds like a school lunch menu. Also this name sounds like one of those fake names you make up when you look at something and go... "My name? It's... Door. Door Computerman." Also try to say the name five times fast. </div> </div> <div style="font-size:26px;">240: R7P22 <div>LB PRAISE MARTIN-OGUIKE TEMPLE This pick should earn much Praise. </div> </div>
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

1st. Dalvin Cook
2nd. Cam Robinson 3rd. Tim Williams 4th. Joe Mixon 5th Jeremy Sprinkle Quote:1st. Dalvin CookYea, I could see these 4 guys becoming real tight with each other since they have so much in common. This would be a great draft for the Bengals or Raiders since they typically don't worry at all about drafting high-character guys. You should have added Sprinkles in the 5th since shop-lifting wasn't covered with the previous 4 picks. Quote:I didn't know Lance Leggett was still playing football. I know.. I thought that sounded wrong when I typed it, but I even double checked what it said. It's Jordan Leggett.

I prefer Mixon as a talent over those two. Character wise, he's an [BLEEP], but I would be willing to take that gamble with my third rounder I grabbed in a trade down.
