Aqib Talib Shot at Dallas Night Club

#1

Denver CB Talib was just released from the hospital after being shot in the leg.  One other person was wounded.

Rumors that he shot himself....I'm willing to bet that Texas doesn't have the same laws as New York does when Plax shot himself though.

Not even close.

That picture wasn't popping up here at work, but the file name did and that's all I needed to see.  Cheddar Bob was great.

Based on the number of responses, my instinct was right that nobody gives a crap really. Oddly enough, still got more replies than Ali's death thread.

Sounds like he pulled a Plax.

With a name like that, is there any wonder why he's involved in shootings all the time. Sounds like he needs some Jesus in his life.

I think it's because it's in the less well-read All Sports Forum. I've moved it to The Sideline and left a link in the original forum. Muhammad Ali transcended sport.

Regarding the OP, I believe what especially burned Plax was he brought the gun across state lines from New Jersey to New York.

Definitely not as strict. But he could still be in some legal trouble:

Quote:Amid a report that Talib has told others he shot himself, ESPN explains that Talib could indeed end up facing criminal charges if he shot himself while in possession of a gun in violation of Texas law.

So-called “Constitutional carry” went out the window in Texas on January 1, with a law requiring a person who carries a gun to be licensed.

ESPN has set forth the menu of potential criminal charges for Talib: (1) carrying a weapon in public without a license into a place that sells alcohol is a Class 3 felony; (2) possessing a weapon while intoxicated is a Class A misdemeanor; and (3) discharging a weapon in public is a Class B misdemeanor.

I'm surprised Talib wasn't involved with the massacre at the Club in Orlando. Or was he.....
