Retired QB Byron Leftwich lands first NFL coaching gig
Former NFL quarterback Byron Leftwich has resurfaced as a coaching intern with the Arizona Cardinals this offseason.

"I love the game,” Leftwich said, via the Cardinals' official website. “This is just the next transition from player to coach and (head coach Bruce Arians) allowed me to come down and be a part of it. I’ll take advantage of it, and we’ll see."

2027 Sports Center:

Looking back on the 2016 draft who could have predicted 3 HOF player's drafted by the same team.

works both ways

When they have no time,  they think about it!

When they go down hard, they think about it!

Just watch Peyton, Andrew, Caep even Mr. Bundchen.

The Cardinals will be running a new drill in training camp. The offensive line has 40 seconds to carry Leftwich down the field, get him into formation and snap the ball.

Byron knew the game. I see him going the coordinator route more.

OK ... so the QB that was too stubborn to listen to coaches is now going to coach ??

Very interesting.  Maybe Carson Palmer can learn a few things from Byron :woot:

"Hey Carson, you need to slow down that release."

"Hey Carson, hold the ball a little longer then release it (with a long wind-up) right before you get hit."

"Hey Carson, make certain you throw the ball as hard as possible on those little flair routes to the RB coming out of the backfield"

Good on him.  The guy knows the X's and O's.  It was never that he didn't know where to go with the ball that is for sure.
