Jags Decline Fifth Year Option On Joeckel

#1

In a move that could spell the end for the maligned left tackle, the Jags decline the fifth year option on luke.

This gives him one final season to wow the Jaguar brass and get a contract extension. It would be nice to see him really break out and do so, but the likelihood of that is not great. Most likely, Luke is one more and done with the Jags.

What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

Shame to see such a promising young tackle fall into the hole of Jags failed first round picks. I would like to see him turn it around this season, but it doesn't even look like he will start. Soon he can be officially declared a bust.

I think it's safe to call him a bust.  To me that just means not living up to your draft position.  After 3 seasons he's not anywhere near where he should be as the #2 overall pick in the draft
