Maybe should go a different direction round two.

My reasoning is this. Alexander will play with a chip on his shoulder. And gives us insurance and Flexibility to move Ramsey to Safety if need to.

Alexander has shown since he plays the ball on nearly every play. That he is a true shutdown corner.

And in a league of luck and mariotta and now osweiler. Two premium corners are needed. For the qb friendly afc south.

Alexander would be a great pick in round 2 if he fell that far.. he will probably be taken by the Cowboys if nobody else though.

I wouldn't be entirely opposed to Alexander in two. House and Ramsey are solid, but the cornerbacks behind them are iffy. Colvin didn't mature as hoped, Amukamara is a one-year rental with an injury history, Gratz and Marshall are awful and McCray is MIA. Alexander would give us a pretty sharp upgrade at nickel corner now and a potential replacement for House later. I'd rather see a pass rusher or interior offensive lineman there, but if the pick were Alexander, I wouldn't complain.

I really like Alexander, but we have much greater needs with the pickup of Ramsay. I hope Ragland, Jack or Spence is the pick. Martin and Whitehair are possibilities if Caldwell loves one of them.

Surely that's going into another direction.

Got to get to the qb if we want to win

Ramsey was a great pick but Caldwell has to back it up with a pass rusher

^Agree totally with this.

I'd prefer they draft a player in the defensive front 7 that they think is going to be very good. Fowler is still an unknown, even though he should be good.

If they go with Alexander, I'd be happy with that too.

House, Ramsey and Gipson are the only ones I'm real confident about in the back end (House is up and down at times with his play IMO). I'm not impressed with Prince. Although he was a good FA pickup, he just hasn't looked that great in previous seasons yet. Colvin needs improvent.

Picking Alexander might give the Jags a real shot at developing into one of the best defensive backfields (maybe THE best) in the NFL. I wouldn't complain about that at all.

2nd Round Draft MLB Reggie Ragland. & trade up and get OLB Myles Jack.

Just going to say this. If Jack falls to 38. I hope we take him. If Caldwell thinks he needs to trade up for him. Go for it. I'd give up a 6th and 4th to Cleveland and swap our 2nd RD pick out to take him at the top of RD2 tonight if needed. You're talking about landing a guy with top three talent. Honestly another freak athlete like Ramsey added to your linebacking core. DO IT.

I'm still in disbelief also.It almost feels like we drafted Deon Sanders.

Those are all good picks.   Also, Kevin Dodd.

The question on Ragland is the enlarged Aorta.   I have no idea how serious a problem that is.

Not another DB at pick 2.

Let me get this straight...you've been blasting Ramsey for his lack of interceptions...and now you want to pair him with Mac?

Well yes. Because the difference is Alexander plays the ball. And does not try to make Ints. Just stops receivers from scoring.

Ramsey flat out drops um.

This logic confuses me

I'd rather a guy tried to play the ball and intercept and drops it making it an incomplete rather than someone who doesn't even try?
