Alterior Motive? Eagles move up to #2

#1

Yes the primary reason the Eagles decided to move up to the 2nd spot was to get Goff or Wentz and to make themselves a better team. New Regimes mean new QB's etc. but also considering that the Cowboys pick in the top 5 for the first time in quite a while and had toyed with the idea of drafting a successor to Romo since according to Jerry Jones "we don't plan to pick this high again", what if the Eagles moved up to block one of the 2 QB's from falling to Dallas, they make their own team better and upgrade their signal caller (Bradfords made of glass and Chase Daniel is rather unproven) but they also avoid playing him twice a year for the next decade. Doubt it was the main reason but it's an interesting thought.

Championship Formula:

1) Draft Trevor Lawrence!
2) Play good physical Defense!
3) Keep 91% of the roster healthy!
4) ???
5) Blank #2
6) CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

Seems like more of an interior motive...like, motive from within the division, imo.

I think it's more of an exterior motive. Since the choice will affect outside sources a lot more.

Let's Get Em!!!! Go Jags!

Its an Anterior motive.  Gotta be ready for when the injury prone Bradford injures his ACL.

With the second pick in the NFL draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select Al Terior.

I think you have been watching too many draft day movies, because the chances of the Eagles signing anyone but a QB with #2 is very unlikely...

It's just a loco motive blowing smoke.
