Predict the pick

Now it's time to vote on who you think the Jaguars will pick at #5 if they don't trade down. The options listed are based on mock drafts, teams needs, and who we worked out in the draft process.

"Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, if he gets angry, he's a mile away and barefoot."
I voted Bosa (but only if he makes it to #5).
If he goes before that,, then it'll be Jack.

I am sticking with DB Jalen Ramsey, because the team needs to improve against the Pass (see note below) & a small chance that the Chargers will draft Buckner instead of Tunsil & that Dallas might draft Myles Jack over Joey Bosa.
Leaving it to Bosa or Ramsey as the pick which both would be great but if you can have only one... Ramsey makes more sense... because GM Dave Caldwell stated that he is okay with the Pass Rush roster yet he had mentioned that finding a ball hawk safety in this league is near impossible (sure he signed TaShaun but you can plug Ramsey in at corner to play a role similar to Richard in Seattle at RCB playing zone & tough physical man to man when needed whom is still good against the Run as well. Jalen Ramsey is the best athlete in the draft (Combine results), and fits a need. If he falls to #5 for any reason it is very hard to say that he's not the obvious pick. The fact that he played college football in Florida is simply icing on the cake. --------------- Note The Jaguars ranked 25th in the NFL at defending opponents’ No. 1 receivers last year, according to Football Outsiders. They ranked 24th against No. 2 receivers, 26th against other receivers and 28th against tight ends. -----------------------------------
I'd like Ramsey, but I feel Caldwell will go Bosa
Still trying to figure out why this upsets me We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:Too late, we already have one of these That poll does not have an "other' option. I did not click on it because of the misleading subject title. It is not too late until 8:00 on Thursday night.
5. Jacksonville (5-11): Jalen Ramsey, DB, Florida State
Gus Bradley's already added Malik Jackson, Prince Amukamara, and Tashaun Gipson, and gets Dante Fowler back to his defense this year. Ramsey is the top defensive player on many teams' boards this year. The Jags rebuild their defense in one offseason. http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/nfl-m...nds-042616 We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Dave Caldwell added Malik Jackson, not Gus Bradley. In our defense, Jackson will likely be a DT, so his signing does not rule out Joey Bosa.
The Jaguars are continuing to rebuild their defense. They began the effort two years ago. This is the year rebuilding will be completed.
True but Gus Bradley provides input on players and needs, trust me Gus has input on all guys before Dave gets them...
Example Blake Bortles was a Gus pick, Dave simply ensured he drafted him.
Quote:True but Gus Bradley provides input on players and needs, trust me Gus has input on all guys before Dave gets them... Gus and Dave have to agree on picks. In the end Dave calls it with input from coaches. Blake Bortles was a unanimous pick.

I'm ok with Bosa or Jack (if healthy).
I wasn't sold on Bosa in the past thinking he's just a roided up dude but his low center of gravity and quick angles tot he QB and RB have sold me over the past week.
I'm hoping for Myles Jack or trade down but I think it's going to be Deforest Buckner. I won't hate pick but will be interested to see how he's used.
