And with the 5th pick, the Jags select... Deadpool?

I thought this was a fun little segment on NFL.com.  I think Deadpool is a good fit.  Jacksonville is his happy place, and we don't have to worry about him being injury prone.  There might be character concerns, though.

You can draft him but not the surf board (you have to provide your own equipment)

No way.

Did you see the movie?!?

He cracked on Jacksonville.  Bad.

It's a holdout waiting to happen.

It's abundantly clear that the writers of this draft, in particular, have absolutely no clue about comics. At least the DC one was way more on point...and we got Captain Marvel (Shazam) in that one.

Deadpool killed the entire marvel universe so it's fitting we select him, and he's my favorite character. Them making a movie about him was about 10 years overdue but well worth it.

San Diego might have some problems with Hulk.

D-Piddy isn't really known for holding out.

Don't know about you, but I get a kick out of characters like Deadpool and Ash (vs. Evil Dead) talking about Jacksonville.

Speedy,

Usually I love the Marvel movies and I'm absolutely STOKED by Civil War.

But to me, in order to pull off Deadpool successfully, his quips have to be funny.

Way too often, he wasn't funny.

I thought the movie was really funny. The movie doesn't take itself too seriously and that was the point.

This is rather silly of a thread but the article shows Deadpool (CB)

If there's one sure way for the Jaguars to shore up their struggling defense it's with an athletic, acrobatic cornerback like Wade Wilson. Known as an assassin on the field, he's got hands like none other. But what sets him apart is his trash talking abilities -- they don't call him "The Merc with a Mouth" for nothing -- letting him get inside the heads of the most elite receivers.

I think they were still trying to say it was Vernon Hargreaves III (As they had Jalen Ramsey go to the Cowboys -in Captain America).

Human Torch (WR) Moritz Boehringer? except to the Vikings...

I disagree.  He called it exotic and that it had a TGIFridays to die for.  It's where he met Hydra Bob.  I like the pick.

Silver Surfer would have been a good choice, also.
