Predict the draft busts
|
Going back on previous drafts looking at the top 5, odds are 2 of the players picked will be absolute studs, 1 will go on to have an average NFL career, and 2 will go down in draft lore as a bust. Which guy(s) do you think will be the busts?
Here's a list of players who have been mocked in the top 5: Ramsey Tunsil Bosa Jack Buckner Hargreaves Lawson Goff Wentz
"Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, if he gets angry, he's a mile away and barefoot."

Whoever the Browns draft at QB
and Jalen Ramsey
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.
The QBs can easily bust.
I can see Bosa being a bust. By that I don't mean he's going to suck, but just not living up to his draft status. A team picks him up as a 4-3 DE (edge rusher) and he ends up struggling there and gets moved to a 5-tech if he has issues rushing the passer. We show less advertisements to registered users. The QBs are too easy so I won't count them.
Bosa and VH3 are going to just be good not great players so I guess them based on a 'top 5 grade' type of status.
Buckner. He is not the second coming of Ngata; see him getting mocked to Baltimore and as a 3-4 DE. Screams "meh" to me.
I think Lynch as a first round QB has the biggest bust potential.

Depends on what you mean by bust. I only see three of those guys as being possible pro bowl caliber players (Jack, Buckner, VH3).
Bosa - I see him being a solid guy getting 7-9 sacks a season. Ramsey - above average corner as a starter. Tunsil - Joekel part 2. Lawson - average player that's always fighting to keep his spot as a starter. I see the quarterbacks as career backups once their rookie contract is done. Things can change massively over the course of just the draft season, much less an entire football season. That's gotta be a joke. Second, if we're looking at the total Bosa package he could come close to a great player, because he will be great against the run and merely good as a pass rusher. For most of the people keeping score, however, the sack total is all that matters. By that standard he'll be good, not great.

The more likely scenario is you read a bad PFF grade and had to adjust your opinion accordingly. Quote:No it's not a joke. Quote:So you are going against the guys that get paid and watch tape all day every day, much more than anyone on this board?Having him in the 4-6 range means I'm going against them? How petty can you possibly be. More and than expected, as I'm finding out daily.
Ramsey could easily. Cause he has butterfingers and no real fit.
Ya play him as corner get burned by speedy wideouts. However for bigger receivers he should be a good shut down corner. But at 1-5 a bust. But far from trash. Ya play him at free safety. He cant catch. So would he ballhawk balls to batt down? Only real chance he has as a SS he has great speed and very good at tackling. And be great to use for blitzes.
