Joeckel on the trade block?

Seems like they are just parroting something O'Halloran mentioned over the weekend.
But that question mark adds a level of intrigue.

If we got a 6th for blame gabbert. I think caldwell could get a 4th rounder.

Anything is possible I supposed, but I doubt a trade happens until they've got a high level of confidence that his replacement will be healthy enough to take over at LT. At that point, he's expendable.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Quote:Per Rotoworld: I think Luke has more value around the league than what's perceived on this message board, he's a former top 5 pick with all kinds of physical ability. I can see a team like Seattle trading for him, they have one of the best OL coaches in football (Tom Cable), their zone blocking scheme fits Lukes strengths as well, get him out in space to use his athleticism.
Can't see how/why they'd do it with Beachum coming off of a serious knee injury. Doesn't make much sense to me.

Right after Carrol compliments us, he trades for LJ, turns him into a pro-bowl LT with an evil smile on his face.
I don't think you roll into training camp with your hope at LT being a guy coming off an ACL.
That being said, if they got a 4th rounder for him.....

Didn't we have zbs here for a while? I don't remember joeckel excelling under it?

We'd be lucky to get a 5th for him..
No one is going to trade anything significant for a below average LT who will be a free agent next year.
Honestly he's underwhelmed for a #2 overall pick, but it was an underwhelming draft so we can hardly consider him to be Tony Mandarich. (hindsight says draft Ansah and pay Monroe who we had at the time) we still shouldn't trade him though, especially considering his injury his rookie year, change in blocking scheme/coaching changes and we have to consider that it took Monroe about 3 years to become solid as well, a lot of people regarded Monroe the same way they regard Luke atm, i think Eugene is/was a better player but it does go to show that we shouldn't write someone off too soon, I think this is the "prove it" year for Joeckel, now that theres competition at his spot for the first time since his rookie year we'll see what he can do; i expect him to be given every opportunity, it's up to him to make something of it.
Championship Formula:
1) Draft Trevor Lawrence! 2) Play good physical Defense! 3) Keep 91% of the roster healthy! 4) ??? 5) Blank #2 6) CHAMPIONSHIP!!!
I heard the Marriott had serious interest in Luke for their front entrance
