Former Senator Jim DeMint, in an interview with the Wall Street Journal, revealed that top executives at Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and National Public Radio (NPR) enjoy lavish salaries, one of the reasons why they are fighting hard to prevent budget cuts under the Trump administration.

The fact of the matter is, this should have gone away years ago.

 

For one thing, NPR and PBS receive relatively few dollars from the government in order to operate.

 

Another thing is that both forms of broadcasting are antiquated and obsolete with the digital age.

 

Finally, the government should not be financing any form of media.

The federal government has no business funding these types of enterprises.  Anyone that feels PBS is beneficial to their child's education feel free to stroke a check from your own personal account to make up the difference.

I just can't give a damn one way or another. It is pennies compared to the other government waste.
