As I have stated several times in the past couple of days, I don't think Joeckel moves inside at all, even considering the hole at C.

One thing I COULD see, especially against a strong passing team, is both Jackson and Marks starting at DT.

I think the default starting D-Line would be:

LEO-Fowler

NT-Miller

3T-Jackson

LDE-Odrick

but then in situations where we face a strong passing team like New Orleans,  I could see possibly a more conventional 4-3 alignment stressing one gap (i.e. Tampa 2 principles)

LEO-Fowler

3T Jackson

3T Marks

LDE Odrick/a rookie in obvious passing situations.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

I suspect Joeckel will start at LT while Beachum recovers from his injury. By mid-season either Joeckel has cemented the starting role or Beachum will take over.

Gotta go with Bullseye and Malabar's analysis.

Miller, Marks, Jackson on the interior as 3T depending on down and distance.

What fun if Bosa falls our way.

Welcome to Duval, prepare to be hit.

this is fun and we still don't have all the chess pieces yet.

When they have no time,  they think about it!

When they go down hard, they think about it!

Just watch Peyton, Andrew, Caep even Mr. Bundchen.

Joke is not a guard. DT's would push him into blakes lap every play.

Miller isn't a 3T. Miller will be your NT with Malik starting at the 3. Marks will come in on 3rd downs and Malik/Fowler will be moved around.

Right now? Not knowing who we'll end up with in the draft:

Offense

QB - Bortles

RB - Ivory

WR - Allenx2

TE - Thomas, Lewis

LT - Beachum

LG - Linder

C - Cann

RG - Parnell

RT - Joeckel

Reason: Luke doesn't fit inside. Beachum is not a RT. Parnell was very very solid (minus some mistakes) at RT. But he's also our most physical guy. He's also 29, which is not that young compared to Beachum and Luke. Luke has done solid as a run blocker (PFF grades seem to reflect this as well), and he shouldn't have to deal with elite pass rushers there. It's not like the team hasn't played Luke at RT.

An interior of Linder, Cann, and Parnell will PUSH defensive lines off the spot even Toby Gerhart can run through them...Not that I'd actually advocate trying that, of course.

Of course, we can still draft a guy at G/C that can make this all moot. But if its only the guys we have *now* and how to fit them? I think this is the best case scenario.

Defense:

LEO - Fowler by default

DT - Jackson, Miller

DE - Odrick

Will - Telvin

LB - Poz

CB - House/Prince/Colvin

FS - Gipson

SS - Cyp

Reason: The only position really in contention are DT (with Marks a possibility) and SS (with Sample a possibility). I can see us going with Marks/Malik in the middle vs. pass heavy teams, but I think this is our base. Roy commands double-team as the NT, and so does Malik.

If we go against run heavy teams, then you can just take out Colvin for Skuta at the OTTO.

Call me in July. I'll know by then.

There are likely to be two draft picks starting and trying to name the d-line starters is ridiculous right now. They are going to move around a lot according to down and distance.

Plus we've got at least three upcoming position battles in camp.

This, but exchange Joeckel for Belchum and Skuta for Jack, then we're good.

Which is what happened a lot anyway.  He's not cut out as a long-term starter for this league.  He's backup quality and I wouldn't want him at Guard either.

Joke is way to weak to play inside. After about week 3 he will spend much time on the inactive roster on game day.  Eventually Dave will have to come clean and Joke was a bust and a bad choice!

You can't just move tackles inside to guard like this... guards need big "squat" power and tackles need long, strong arms with great foot control.  It's not just a matter of "let's take this guy we thought could be a tackle but didn't meet expectations and try him at guard".

My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.
