Draft priority after our FA signings

#1
(This post was last modified: 03-10-2016, 12:42 PM by Buccal_Up.)

With two major FA additions made, one to the secondary and one to our DL, which position do we favor now in the draft?

I think we have to go secondary.. Our line should be great with the return of Marks & Fowler, and the addition of Jackson. Furthermore we have plenty of guys able to rotate in.

With FS pretty much a lock for Gipson who would be a better fit in our secondary? VH3 or Ramsey?

Ramsey is bigger and faster and would be my choice.. but if Ramsey isn't available by the time our pick comes do we consider VH3 over Bosa or Myles Jack if they are available?

Ramsey (starting CB, backup FS) > Bosa (because he can rush the passer, even if he's not a pure leo) > Jack >>>>>> Hargreaves and other non-scheme-fit scrubs

After Round 1, pass rush > corner (if no Ramsey) > guard/center > linebacker

As long as they address the pass rush w/ one more Leo-type, find a CB#2, and add a guard or center to the mix then I don't care how they do it.

Jack would be icing if they can still manage those three things AND take him in the first.

Best available player. I like the idea of Jack, not sure where he would fit in the defense, but him and Telvin flying around crushing people looks good to me.

It has to be a pass rusher or Myles Jack.  If Ramsey is there, I could still see that pick.  I think Jack is the preferred.

Dave may just double down on pass rushers in the draft.

Bosa/Lawson 1st

Spence/Ogbah/Dodd/Calhoun 2nd

Rush fixed with young fresh legs for the next 5-7 years.

This brought up memories of Derrick Harvey and Quintin Groves.

Lol know right. It hit me right as i pressed reply. But i dont see the similarities. Those picks were supposed to send us to the super bowl. But that defense got old quick. These guys are coming to a team with one 30 year old guy.

I also trust Caldwell as a talent evaluator better than Shack lol
