It's being reported that Jags are interested in Miller, Ivory and Martin at RB.

I'd love to have any of them, but are they willing to play on a team where they might be the back up?

Would throwing enough $ at them help them overcome that problem?

Then I guess the question would become, is it smart to pay so much money for someone who might not even start.

Lamar Miller is the only running back I'd bring in if it were up to me. He's the perfect compliment to TJ IMO. However, I don't think he'd go anywhere where he would be the backup.

Miller wants to start. And Foster is on his way out in Houston. He'll probably choose them over us.

It's smart to grab one of those guys. We have no real backup to Yeldon. Expect Gerhart to be cut if we do grab one.

Ever think that maybe they'd make TJ the backup?

Not when they spent a second round pick on him one year earlier.

I would love to have Doug Martin. Watched him closely for the past 2 years. This past year he returned to pro form. Dude's got moves. He was constantly making gains out of perceived stoppages. Honestly he could come here and be the starter, he deserves it. Not to take anything away from Yeldon. But Martin looked like somewhat of an escape artist this past year. It's what is needed when you have average to below average run blocking.

Signing a RB won't solve the fact our offensive line is abysmal.

Ivory has vision that Gerhart does not. I've lost count of the times Gerhart tried to mimic Mark Sanchez's buttfumble maneuver minus the fumble. Denard handles or I should say mishandles that aspect

Vision creates holes? I thought it allows you to see them and run through them. This is the current o-line: a real good one in Linder, a good one in Parnell, you can't be too sure yet about Cann, don't even start with Joekel, and we currently have no center. I honestly think even A.Peterson would struggle behind this line, but it's all good. Sign them RBsssss.

We need a pounder. Until BB can float a ball in for screen passes ( which is what we need more of) I would have liked someone like a Forte. But I'd guess Ivory because he may be cheaper and is used to a back up role. But any of these guys is an upgrade over whats in there now.

I think many teams will be adjusting to the pass happy Jag offense next year, a solid running game is crucial

Why are the Bucs letting Martin walk?
