Is Jeff Fisher a good NFL coach?

Would probably be better in a different era, he's going against the grain with his style of play

Go Jags!
*To stay up for atleast 2 years 3/6/17
2016 draft players I think will be good
  • On the Fournette train, will be best back of his class 3/6/17
  • Lattimore please,  Lockdowns on both sides would be nice
  • Engram at TE and the MJD clone Samaje Perine

To be fair to Fisher, I'd say at least 5-6 of those losing seasons (maybe a few more) were due to him taking over a team that was a complete mess when he got there.

I remember the Oilers being in disarray when he arrived there. They were on the verge of moving, and had only just picked up Eddie George and Mcnair. It was definitely after their "heydey" with Moon and that terrific defense. Fisher wasn't going to have immediate success in that situation.

When he took over the Rams, it was also expected (at least by me) that it would take a couple years to get that mess going again. It should've been better by now. But, they still have no QB and the owner is a mess himself.

I think Fisher is a good coach. But I don't think he's a very good/great coach,,,, No. Alot of his overall record is skewed by the messes he took over.

No, he is better than some considering he does tend to have an average team but rarely a very good team.

One thing that seems apparent is Jeff Fisher should no longer have final say over personnel decisions with the Rams.  Considering the vast draft resources the team received from the Redskins in the 2012 trade that landed the Redskins the 2nd pick ( RGIII ) ,  this team should be much further along than they are.   This is even factoring in the major distraction of franchise relocation that has hovered around the Rams for several years.

Still better than Gus Bradley's career of .250% for 3 years going on 4...

I am a big USC fan where Jeff Fisher went to college but the easy answer to this question is NO.  He is a very good defensive coach but his offensives are terrible

Definitely an evil coach.
