Here is some wishful thinking in terms of the draft.

FA: Irvin, Mack, oliver Vernon

Draft

Rd 1: Ramsey

Rd 2: mackensie Alexander (via trading up or whatever happens)

Rd 3: nkemdiche, I take the flyer on him for the tremendous talent at this point if he is there.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Free Agency:

Olivier Vernon

Janoris Jenkins

Bruce Irvin

Kelechi Osemele

Draft:

Rd 1: Jalen Ramsey/Bosa/Noah Spence

Rd 2: Jaylon Smith (I would risk giving him a redshirt year. Too much talent to pass up on)

An attempt at doing this somewhat realistically:

FA:  Olivier Vernon.  Kelechi Osemele,  and three or four mid-tier guys.

* DRAFT:

rd1 -  Bosa, Jack or Ramsey

rd2 -  Ogbah, Apple, or best DT available on board

rd3 -  Artie Burns, Kyler Fackrell, Kaufusi, Sean Davis (FS) , or Josh Garnett

rd4  - Houston Carson, Maliek Collins, Spencer Drango or Jordan Jenkins if he falls that far

*drafted player selection/choices depend on FA and previous round selections - guys listed are the ones I expect to actually be there or to be narrowly missed

I'd be very happy with pretty much all of the above. My selections are based on trying to be somewhat realistic on free agency (based on how much Caldwell will spend and who wants to come here).

Free agents:

Osemele

Weddle

Vernon

Draft:

1. Myles Jack

2. Kendall Fuller/William Jackson

3. Austin Johnson

4. DeAndre Houston-Carson

5.John Theus

6. Aaron Green and Victor Ochi

7. Alex McCallister

Rationale:

1. Weddle brings experience and reliability to take secondary to the next level. Houston-Carson will be groomed to eventually take his place.

2. Osemele makes whole team better. An offense that can run effectively helps the defense significantly. Also a backup at left tackle.

3. Jack has as much upside as any player in the draft. He and Smith would be fun to watch at linebacker with Poz in the middle for at least one more year.

4. Vernon may not make it to free agency, but he and Fowler would provide much needed pass rush. I like Malik Jackson more, but Vernon is better at pressuring the quarterback. Defensive tackle is strongest position in the draft and Austin Johnson immediately goes into the defensive tackle rotation.

5. Aaron Green would be a good change of pace back. Can't see paying big money for free agent.

Free Agency:1) Olivier Vernon 2.)Tayshaun Gipson and or Sean Smith

Draft-1st round Jalen Ramsey or Myles Jack

Focus on playmakers and improve the overall speed of the team.
Respect the game.  Play with a sense of urgency.

1.)  Take care of the ball.  Win the turnover battle.

2.)  It's all about 3rd down.  Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays.  The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.

Learn from the great collapse of 2023.

I'm out of breath now.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!
