I remember reading that had Bosa come out in last year's draft he would have been the highest rated defensive prospect and the number 1 edge player in that draft. Nope. I think had Fowler come out this year teams would have been all over him this draft too. I guarantee he would have gone 3. I have my concerns with Fowler but no edge prospect this year shows the blend of motor, length, versatility, speed, power, technique and base line explosion that Fowler does. Not to mention between himself, Bosa, and Spence he is the only one who would have come out with no character concerns and viewed as a sure fire leader and violent playing style. Dave was right. Fowler would be among the top edge prospects this draft. Overall as a defensive lineman, you could argue Deforest Buckner is better. But for a DE/OLB he is the best. Spence would be the next best pass rusher after Fowler.
