Could Keanu Neal be our FS in the 3rd Round?

#1

So here I am assuming we get an older FS in free agency like Weddle, Nelson, or Johnson and getting a second corner. After taking Myles Jack and Noah Spence in  rd 1 and rd 2. Do we take Keanu Neal as a safety to mold into the spot for the future? He is fast, big, and has smashing tackling along with pretty good coverage skills. Do you think he would be a good pick. Also in light of Randy Gregory I have Noah Spence falling to us in the 2nd rd.

Free Agency:

Weddle/ Nelson/ Johnson

Jenkins/ Johnson/ Smith

Vernon/ Jackson/ Williams

Mack

Draft

1: Myles Jack

2: Spence

This is a possible scenario, would we pick Neal?

Also I am aware of the love for Karl Joseph, a similar player to Neal and a great talent except for his injury issues. He is better than Neal at coverage but both hard hitting athletic safeties. I would take him, not forgetting about him as a prospect.

Spence isn't making it to the 2nd though

We could trade up into the 20's to go get him. Gregory fell last year and with his suspension it doesnt help Spence

I'm with you on that.

I think I'd look elsewhere in round 3 and roll with James Sample as the backup SS/FS.

Neal could be really good, though. I definitely feel like Dave is going to draft at least one play from UF.

From Florida they all fit needs DL, LB, RB, S, CB, DE, TE. Any of them at their respective spots would be good picks.

Watching Gator games, I liked Neal. But I liked Neal in the sense of I was excited to see what he developed into. I'm not sure about his longterm prospects now. As a Gator fan and a NFL fan, I would have liked to see him play another year in college.

This team needs a ball hawk FS which they hope to get when they draft Jalen Ramsey in the 5th overall pick.  IMO

Yes, let's trade multiple high picks to draft another druggie. Let's ask Justin Blackmon how well that worked out.

Worked out really well for him. The team? Not so much. Let him be someone else's bust, please, and hold on to that second-round pick for the best available defender that isn't addicted to ecstasty.

When he's not showing up in a casino in Oklahoma looking like a guard.

I don't think Spence will be there in the 2nd. Keanu Neal looks more like a SS who has a chance to go in the 2nd round or sneak up into late 1st round depending on the combine. I also believe Karl Joesphs stock will rise after the combine into early 2nd, late 1st.

I would love to get a pass rusher like Vernon in FA as well as one guard and a LB that can play OTTO like Irvin. In the draft I would take Myles Jack or Bosa and in the 2nd if Joseph is there I would draft him. Hard hitting FS, looks small but very similar to Earl Thomas.
