Prisco Mock

Pete Prisco released his first mock yesterday.  Here are a few picks - but check the link for some interesting names he thinks won't last to the second round. (guys many here are mocking to the Jags at 38)

Do you mean the same Melvin Ingram that posted 10 1/2 sacks, six Passes Defended, three forced fumbles and 52 tackles this past season? I mean, I don't have a problem with having quality players on a roster but maybe that's just me.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

I'd be thrilled if the Jags got Bosa.

However, it's interesting to me that Prisco wanders "where he will fit in that defense", and "draft him and then figure it out".

Is Bosa a guy that can pretty much thrive at any of the different positions Jax may place him? Or, will he be a guy that is best played only in his "natural" spot that he's used to?

I've seen enough of Bosa's college play to know he's been very, very good. But, I don't know about his versatility at different positions.

I was just gonna say the same thing. Ingram is really good. Not to mention they were awful this year so teams were just running the ball late in games.

Bosa is absolutely someone you rotate throughout various spots on the line. He's may not be Watt or Bennett (Sea.) but he can be used similarly to those guys.

Melvin Ingram can ball, he just has a problem staying healthy.

I'd rather have Myles Jack over Bosa....

I could see them rotating Bosa in  at LEO on 1st and 2nd downs some  and rushing him from the strong side on third downs and pass defense sets.

That would have third down looking like:

    -  BOSA  - ODRICK  - MARKS  -  FOWLER  -

(Of course depending on down and distance and Odrick's snap count, they could put Ryan Davis in there next to Fowler and slide Marks left.)

Yes. He called it on Ingram.

Prisco typically drafts the way he wants it to turn out for the Jags, not necessarily the way he thinks it's really going to go.

Either way, this isn't bad.
