JR Sweezy

@Rand_Getlin Plenty of buzz around #Seahawks OG @jr_sweezy. Will be an active market for the athletic former wrestler who played DL all through college.

I would love to add him. Major upgrade over Beadles.

Unless the Jaguars brass envisions A.J. Cann moving to the Center position and starting there,  I'll be surprised if the Jaguars are the team that ends up with J.R. Sweezy.  He's going to be seeking a starting position and is certainly expecting to be paid like a quality starter.

I can see Cann moving to center this offseason.

Sweezy wouldn't be a bad consolation prize if we can't get Osemele.

Are you passing this off like an original thought? Does it have anything to do with the endless speculation or reports to this affect?

Sorry but Sweezy is average at best (PFF graded as far below average actually...I believe 70th G). G is also super deep at FA. Sweezy is worse than Osemele, Alex Boone, Jeff Allen, Brandon Brooks, Schwartz, Silatolu...and that's just the younger guys. He's behind a bunch more short term if we include the over 30 guys like Mathis, Incognito, and Ramon Foster.

I thought he was going to eventually move to center before this team drafted him.

I dont care for PFF grades. I've seen alot of Seattle games, he was there best offensive linemen.

Okung was their best olineman, and he was just average. It was one of the worst lines in the league.

Not a huge fan at throwing money at guards in Fa, unless he's totally dominant which Sweezy isn't, plenty of good guards can be drafted in the middle rounds of just about any draft. Rather have Cann stay at guard, we know he's solid there and bring in a center.

I agree. Unless it's this guy...
