Robert Ayers ?
|
Havent really heard anyone mention this guy. A free agent, coming off his best season. A future 1st round draft pick, 20 sacks over the last 3 seasons, 9.5 sacks last year and missed 4 games. I think he could be a player Dave will take a look at and probably good value. The contract wont be as big as some of the other big names but def. an upgrade over what we have had. Would be a good get for our pass rush

How old is he?

― Albert Camus
Nah, he's only had a rotational role for most of his career and only one really good year.

Quote:Nah, he's only had a rotational role for most of his career and only one really good year.Being in a rotational role most of his career is good, it means less miles. When was his really good year? Why get him and improve our pass rush right? smh
He's definitely flying under the radar because of how bad the Giants pass rush was this season, but he makes plays here and there. Wouldn't be the worst signing and would add depth. He's better than Branch and Clemons....
Shock the world
For depth, he's an upgrade over Chris Smith and the declining Chris Clemons.

"Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, if he gets angry, he's a mile away and barefoot."
He has trouble staying healthy. If he comes here he probably wouldn't play more than 10 games.
"A man with no sauce is lost.
<p style="text-align:center;">But that same man can get lost in the sauce."
Quote:LEO preferably. He would upgrade Clem and Branch and provide EFFECTIVE veteran depth on the rotation. I guess it's possible, but I never really saw Ayers as a quick-twitch guy with an explosive quality to his game. He only ran a 4.90 with a 1.79 10 yard split at the Combine and that was back in 09. |
