Thanks for starting this thread.

I always liked Durant, I wonder what he has left in the tank.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

I'd probably pass, but he does have the experience in our scheme from Atlanta.

Unfortunately,  Justin Durant has been plagued by injuries throughout his career.    It hasn't been often enough but when relatively healthy Durant has been a good 4-3 LB.   My guess is Durant will get a low contract value offer.   Being that Durant has income potential interests away from the NFL,  it will be interesting to see if he decides to continue to play.   I wish him well whatever his decision is.

Absolutely dumb question: being that the end of the football year has happened and the start to the next football year is a month away, are there any extra obstacles to signing a guy during this limbo period? Any potential contract issues, disadvantages?

Not a dumb question at all, in my mind.

To me, there are two related ones.

1.  I don't know if the Bills put him on waivers or not.  If they did and the Jaguars claimed him, they would have to assume the contract he signed in Buffalo.

2.  If no waivers or he clears waivers, then if you sign him now, there might potentially be a bidding war for his services, and you still might pay an inflated price instead of maybe letting the market die down first.

But to be honest, I don't see #2 happening because unless his contractual demands are absolutely insane, I don't see him lasting very long anyway.

I was under the impression that veterens who are cut avoid the waiver process. I imagine Williams will court a few teams as I'm convinced he has quite a bit of perceived value.

I'd like them to sign Williams, absolutely. If anything, he's a big upgrade over the last two knuckleheads we had there. Even if he's 47 years old.

Williams, Vernon, Irvin, JPP, there are plenty of pass rush options.

We're sure to snag at least one.

I don't think he's subject to waivers.
