***Official Seahawks vs Panthers NFC Divisional***
|
I know it's early in the playoffs, but I'm looking at this game as being a de facto NFC Championship Game on Sunday. I'm not taking anything away from Arizona or Green Bay; but the winner of this game will have a huge amount of momentum heading into championship Sunday. One thing is for sure though, this is definitely going to be a nominee for game of the year.

This does indeed shape up as a great game.
The bye should help Carolina. Especially, considering that Seattle has to travel to the East Coast for a 10:00am PT game, after going to Minnesota last week. That could take it's toll against Cam Newton and this very physical Panthers team.

Carolina band on the field? At the very least, this game is probably going to be remembered for something that people will be talking about for a long time. Considering the playmaking skills of both starting QBs and the high quality Defenses of both teams, if the outcome of the game is in doubt, I think it's going to be a classic finish. Quote:At the very least, this game is probably going to be remembered for something that people will be talking about for a long time.I agree. I think it is going to be a very close/good game. I'd he surprised if it wasn't. It was a close game when these two faced each other earlier this year. Although, Seattle seems to be playing much better now compared to back then, and have been good on the road. They were close to being eliminated last weekend, but weather was such a factor, it's really hard to gauge what would've happened if conditions had been milder. Many expect Carolina to win. But, you just can't count out a Seahawks team in the playoffs with that defense (and riding momentum frim a fortuitous victory on the road). It should be fun to watch. Unlike a few seasons ago, the Seahawks are now a much better road team than was the case. How healthy RB Marshawn Lynch will be certainly is a huge key to this game. If Lynch is in ' Beast Mode' form, that would be the difference in a close game. Also, Panthers WR Ted Ginn Jr. is far from 100 %. In the end though, I think the Panthers win this game, with the bye and travel factor being the difference with teams that seem pretty evenly matched.
First of all, thanks Diamond for beating Amelia to making an ***official*** game thread.
Regarding the third poll question: It is pretty obvious Cam Newton has been the better QB this season. He is a candidate for the NFL MVP award. Russell Wilson made a few amazing plays at Minnesota, but overall he is not close to Newton. I also expect a close game. It will be fun to watch. The Seahawks will not get lucky this time.
Quote: Well stated!I think that the travel factor is exaggerated in this case. Seattle has won all of their matchups against Carolina at Bank of America.

Quote:Fun Fact: We beat Seattle this year in Seattle after our bye week. That was a close one. Carolina should win by a bigger margin at home.

Quote:2 interceptions 1 fumble will expose the fraud he is. LOL How about two 80-yard TD drives in Seattle? He can do it again.
