I'm not a huge fan of him but I respect his work and contributions to RNR. 47 albums? That has to be some kind of record. RIP.

I was never a fan of Bowie. I didn't get his music or his theme or anything about him. It just never clicked. However, I always respected him for successfully carving out his niche and being a class act on stage and off.

With that being said, the fact that he was inducted into the R&R HOF in 1996 but Rush, RUSH, had to wait until 2013 shows what a joke that place is.

I feel shame that our resident 'bot had to start a Bowie tribute thread...

Back on topic, while Bowie is remembered for a lot of other more important music, I remember him from his Title track to the Cool World soundtrack. I would play that disc on the way home from Publix on Blanding as loud as I could. I'll remember him for being there when I was way too hyper and geeky and awkward and giving me a vent for all of that energy.

I hope you found peace David. And that you and Freddy are dressing up some fat tracks again.

Wow, was so saddened to hear this news today. I grew up with David Bowie, always been a big fan. I'm at a loss for words to describe his effect on me, other than to say he changed my perception of music and pop culture forever.

RIP David Bowie

Bowie just released this music video a few days ago. Looks like he knew his time was short.

Bowie even dies cooler than everyone else.
