North Dakota State wins a record fifth straight college football championship

The team is also 22-1 in the FCS playoff. Even if they play in a D-1 subdivision, those records are just insane for any league or sport. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
It's been an insane run. 2 different coaches and quarterbacks, and that defense for pretty much the entire run has been incredibly good. Hopefully they can continue with another new quarterback, he did fill in pretty well during the season so it looks possible.
Pretty crazy, only 1 player on the team has experienced a non-championship season.
A girl I know locally has a brother playing on the team and travels quite a bit to watch. ..looks fun.
I just wouldnt want to live in North Dakota
Because Appalachian State has moved up, tbh.

Quote:http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000...qb-drafted Not knocking Wentz, but it's good for him this is a weak draft class at the QB position. The love Goff is getting is a bit overboard, IMO. Goff is a good but not great prospect, IMO. When a QB like that is seen as the cream of the crop, that makes it that much more interesting to find who's the alternative.

I went to Fargo recently and watched them play the Montana Grizzlies, who are also a power house in the FCS
NDSU dismantled them. They're way too good to be in the FCS.
THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.
RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE. Quote:I went to Fargo recently and watched them play the Montana Grizzlies, who are also a power house in the FCSSomething happened with Montana from game one to the second time they played. Not sure what, but that first game was an awesome game from what I remember. It was one of the first games of the season.

What's funny is that this is the School that Gus went to and got his coaching career started at (and his first HC job IIRC)
Championship Formula:
1) Draft Trevor Lawrence! 2) Play good physical Defense! 3) Keep 91% of the roster healthy! 4) ??? 5) Blank #2 6) CHAMPIONSHIP!!! Quote:Time to put them in a higher division? That's a tough one. Right now, don't have any recruiting competition locally (where the talent isn't as abundant as the south) aside from Minnesota, and they probably pull in some of those underlooked guys from around the nation because they have been so good historically. If they move up, are they still going to be able to pull in those guys from around the country when they likely aren't winning as much? I'd like to see them do it to see how they stack up. They've beaten Kansas State and Minnesota recently, and have a date with Iowa in 2016 and Oregon in 2020, so we'll see what happens. As for App State and Georgia Southern not being in, NDSU beat GS in the playoffs for their first two titles and have been so good on this run that it's not like they couldn't have beaten either. Obviously the less good teams in the conference the easier it is. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! |
