If he hits FA he's probably going to go to a team that will guarantee him a starting role.

  This combined with going to a team that's much more willing to run the ball than the Dolphins have been in recent seasons.   IMO,  the # 1 reason Bill Lazor was fired as their Offensive Coordinator is how little they ran the ball.
