This list is terrible. How is Jordan Matthews, Jarvis Landry, and Sammy Watkins above Robinson? How the hell are these guys above him if he's a Top 10 receiver in the league and these guys are nowhere near that? I'd even say Hurns is better than those three. Awful list.

I would honestly put Robinson above OBJ and Marshall. Robinson is a more complete player than OBJ, I truly believe that. He's not a darche either. DeAndre #3, AR15 at 4.

AJ Green doesn't have near as many targets this season due to all the weapons Cincy has around them. In fact, AJ Green isn't even in the top ten for targets this year,, and he still produces when given opportunity.

Yeah, those two make no sense. Landry at 3? He has a career YPC of 9.6 and has 9 career receiving TD's.

Agreed from the standpoint of the overall impact factor.   Yet,  because Khalil Mack is often lined up at DE,   from a pure LB standpoint,  a strong case can be made that Telvin Smith belongs at the top of the hypothetical list.     Mack,  along with Aaron Donald are probably at the top of the overall Defensive performance list of players from the last two drafts.

This got me thinking about Caldwell's drafting the last 2 years.  Let's think about all the position groups and see how many he's landed in the top ten.

 

QB - Absolutely, #1 or 2.

WR - Absolutely, X2. If Lee ever develops to his potential, just wow.

OL - Yes, Linder is a top 10 G in the league and probably top 10 OL from last 2 drafts.

RB - Probably, Yeldon is likely top 10, still needs to play out.

TE - Nope

DL - Probably, if DFJ is who we think he is.

LB - Yup, Smith all the way.

DB - Nope, i doubt Colvin is top 10 right now, but this could change with a pass rush.

ST - I really don't know, but Rashad Greene sure is looking like a great returner.

  Adding to what you mentioned:    At this point in time other than 7th Round picks,  in which the NFL success rate is low,   all of the other Jaguars picks in the last two drafts have a realistic or better chance to meet or even exceed the career performance level of their spot of the draft.    At minimum,   none of the players that have seen action look out of place based on where they were drafted.

Of course there are always variables that go into any rankings for yearly totals (yards, receptions, TDs, etc). It's pretty telling this season that AJ Green has 20 to 30 less targets than the receivers within the mid-top ten.


Green, C.Johnson, Cobb, Hilton, Evans, Amari: I'm actually surprised that a couple of those guy's targets are down that much lower, especially Johnson, Cobb, and Cooper.


AJ Green is surrounded by a ton of weapons that the Bengals have spread targets to all season (especially Eifert in the Red Zone), so that's no surprise.


Hilton has had to play with Hasselbeck all season, Lol! Poor guy Hahaha


And it looks like Carr likes to go to Crabtree more often than Cooper (which has bitten me in fantasy sometimes with the Crabtree TDs).


Anyway, you have to take rankings with "a grain of salt" most often, due to many variables that come into play (games played, target opportunities, backup QBs, other "weapons" on the team, etc.) I'm sure there's a few more.
