Lewis's strength (such as it is) is his blocking ability. The only thing he has going for him as a pass catcher is his height. Unfortunately, it's pretty obvious that he is too easy to cover most of the time. About the only time Lewis has been successful was when he had  'mismatch' coverage. And I'm here to tell you, Julius Thomas looks slow! He looks kinda' pudgy to me.

I don't think Thomas ever got into shape this year. Whether that's due to injury or effort I can't say, but he looks 20lbs bigger than last season. Of course it could just be that size is added by our horribad uniforms.

I haven't been keeping count, but every time I see Bortles throw at Marcedes I cringe. He has made some decent gains through the season, but I'm always afraid he's going to pop one up for an easy play on the ball by whoever happens to be near him.

In all the years I've been watching and involved with sports I don't think I've ever seen a guy who just looks so ungainly and awkward in his movement than Lewis.

 

Maybe the White Razor Shawn Bradley, but that's about it.

Certainly not a guy drafted in the first round, given a huge contract, and kept on a roster for a decade.

That int was simply a bad play call. Lewis is 6'10ish and we decide to throw a quick flat pass to him..I want to say it was bad play design because Bortles looked no where else but Bortles should still have seen that coming. Our main problem on offense is red zone. We can't figure it out. One week we run 4 times from yhe 1 and get nothing..the next we spread it out and it works them the next we try again but get picked so we try a flat to Lewis. We have 3 red zone nightmares in Thomas, AROB and Lewis (Yes Lewis can be one at his size) but we just continue to shoot ourselves in the foot.

I said that months ago, most of the times Bortles pass the ball to Lewis, its something bad happens, its been about 4 ints and about 3 almost ints, I will be so glad when he is gone next year

It happened a few times with TE's this year, Lewis I think it's 4, to Julius Thomas I'm sure 3 times but can't remember if there was a 4th too(in less games). 

 

One it was to Yeldon, one to Hurns, the others can't remember.

Respect the game.  Play with a sense of urgency. 


1.)  Take care of the ball.  Win the turnover battle.

2.)  It's all about 3rd down.  Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays.  The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.  

Learn from the great collapse of 2023.  

For some reason I think we'll re-sign Lewis on a cheap deal.

According to this site, it's 3.  It's also been 3 each when throwing to Hurns, Robinson and Thomas.

I thought Lewis had an okay game he made a one handed catch.


The Oline especially  Luke had a bad day thus Blake was hurried too often.
