By starting this in the Jaguars forum, are you talking about current FA? Help is not on the way. Quote:By starting this in the Jaguars forum, are you talking about current FA? Help is not on the way. I would like Jason Spriggs if he can last to the 2nd round, he has been gaining momentum lately in many mock drafts.

Tunsil will most likely be gone in the 1-6 range. Maybe Stanley will fall to us. Honestly, if Tunsil is gone I say just ride with Luke and hope we get a decent guy in the 2nd to later rounds

Definitely must draft a left tackle in round 2 or 3. I'm tired of watching Joeckel get beat each week. Need to take a pass rusher and Otto also depending on free agency.
Joekel is good enough. Drafting a tackle isn't needed. The focus needs to be on the defense.
I disagree about Joeckel. Bortles' continued development is the key to this team's future and one major injury after being hit from his blindside would be catastrophic. I've seen too many mediocre pass rushers get past Joeckel. The focus does need to be on defense and specifically pass rush, however a left tackle should be drafted in either round 2 or 3 to provide competition at that position. If Griggs is available in the 2nd or John Theus/Kyle Murphy in the 3rd the Jaguars should address this. They can go defense in free agency with Irvin and the best available free safety (probably Gipson at a discount due to down year) and corner (Trumaine Johnson). Since they'll be drafting in the top 10, one of the pass rushers will be available in the first round (no way to know who will rise and fall by then, but someone will be there). Also,if Robinson drops to that spot, he might be too good to pass up since Miller is not getting younger and Marks' improvement is not guaranteed. Therefore, left tackle can be addressed even though the defense remains the focus.

Quote:Joekel is good enough. Drafting a tackle isn't needed. The focus needs to be on the defense.Have to agree. If there's a tackle that drops to our laps that is too good not to draft then great, but our defense needs way more talent. Fowler and Marks coming back will sure help but we still need some upgrades.
They're going to go near full defense in this draft. I doubt they take a LT with the first couple picks, there are more pressing needs.

I'm all for Theus in the 3rd.
1. Jaylon Smith 2. Noah Spence/Nassib 3. Theus Free agents: Trumaine Johnson Bruce Irvin Tashaun Gipson All of these can happen and team suddenly has no weaknesses. Quote:I'm all for Theus in the 3rd. Easy with that. Every team has a weakness.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.
Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!
All teams can improve; that is true. Even the undefeated Panthers can get better. However, I'd be quite happy with upgrades at every position currently hurting this team.
Pass rushers- Clemons and Branch gone. Fowler, Spence and Irvin in their place. Free safety- Brown and Evans replaced by Gipson. Major upgrade. Otto- Skuta becomes backup to J. Smith. Left Tackle- This would be improved with quality competition, however this may still be a weakness. I guess I originally was incorrect. Quote:Joekel is good enough. Drafting a tackle isn't needed. The focus needs to be on the defense. whut We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
The last thing we need to do is draft a rookie LT. We need to open the check book and bring in a vet with the money we get from cutting Beadles. Cordy Glen
idk why you think Cordy Glenn isn't getting resigned.
