I'm an electrician by trade and I'll tell you this, construction is not something that can be just thrown together. It takes time. If you go too fast it's very likely something gets missed or messed up.

Oh I don't doubt that at all.  Just that when I first heard of this, I was under the impression they would try to have everything done by preseason this year.  It would be cool to see the amphitheater.

 

I'd rather they take the time to do it right than to rush things and have it be an embarrassment.

Haha now that I look at it your comment was from December. I thought it was from today! Yeah me too. I'm kind of a perfectionist at work but doing what I do you have to be or someone could've seriously hurt or killed.

When it first was proposed/passed, I was hoping it would be done by training camp this year, but this news is sweet nonetheless.

They were certainly hoping they would have that done, but with all of the permitting and everything else that needed to be done, that was a pipe dream.

 

The bigger project was renovating the stadium to upgrade the clubs and add the new tunnels.  They started that as soon as they were able to get rolling.  The in-stadium upgrades are going to be a nice change this year, although poor Arrowman appears to be impacted in the SEZ.  Hopefully they relocated him to the front row of the new tunnel section.

I always hate to read about fans being adversely impacted by various stadium changes.

 

Sometimes fans don't mind or even benefit from the change.

 

But other times, it can be tough.  I know I have enjoyed my seat for a long long time.  I don't want to move, especially if it were forced by some change to the stadium.

Nice progress on the stadium. This current regime has definitely exceeded expectations in that department. Has anybody heard anything about the state money that the city was trying to secure for stadium upgrades?
